Both the story and Sasuke suffer from him trying to make Sasuke stay in character.

Good evidence is his relationship with Team 7
The Gaiden
The kage summit arc
The war arc

Gaiden's fault was that it sucks as a whole u can't put that one on Sasuke XD

How exactly involving team 7?

And what was wrong with the Kage summit arc?

U do realize that Kishimoto himself had plans for Sasuke. U can't blame everything on just how Sasuke is :|

Speaking in general. Kishi never knew how to write Sasuke and he even rushed his redemption in the end of 698/699.

Sasuke during his Hebi days was the best written.
Anything after that was just forced nonsense and back and forth drama to make us stay awake for the next chapter.

I'd rep u if I could.

Sasuke lost his identity for me during the kage summit. Obito was using him to wage war and it put him in a position where he was pretty much forced to take his brother's eyes. Kishimoto made the dude blind yet allowed kakashi and obito to run around spamming their techs.

The Gaiden's problems was the result of the last few chapters of the original series and Kishimoto's desire to have Sarada. The story in itself weighed heavily on Sasuke more than shin and his plans. Shin doesn't even have a connection to momoshiki like most of us expected. He was just created for the sake of sarada and her parents.

Team 7 has a track record of picking up after him regardless of what he does.

Sasuke's character in the kage summit arc and a little before was everywhere. And not in a good way. We had a regular Sasuke eventually develop a crazed persona, declare death on innocent people, abandon his team (mentally and physically), then had him go blind just so he'd take his brother's eyes.

He returns with ems, and Karin, suigetsu, and co just fall into place. Acting as the leader despite the events. Both Sasuke's apology to Kakashi and Karin lampshades his manic episodes while still staying within Sasuke's character. I find that forced.

MS Sasuke when his hair went over his eyes and he looked crazy.

Agreed. His old hair made him unique. His latest look made him look like a copy of other characters from different manga.

The Story in Gaiden focused on Sarada and Kishimoto's lame idea for a story. :| Sasuke was only a factor in that which tbh didn't complicate the plot at all.

Kishimoto was the one that wanted to keep Sasuke out there as long as he did. Once again that is not a result of Sasuke's character since Kishimoto wanted to end the series with VoTE2.

Meh. U have to realize that these ppl work for Orochimaru doing horrible things to ppl every day. " :| The only person I can say that it is weird that they went back to Sasuke is Suigetsu, but even he was only looking at what he could get out of it in the end.

Like I said u have to realize that regardless the complete story never rotates around Sasuke. Kishimoto still has things that he wants to get done and if that means Sasuke staying a dik then Kishimoto will keep Sasuke acting like a dik

Sasuke complications came from not being around despite having contact with the village. Is that his fault? No kishimoto did that.

It doesn't matter if it's horrible. None of that factors in when kishimoto uses Sasuke's apologies as lampshades as if he didn't do the things he did.

You keep saying I have to realize but I already do. Kishimoto has been using the avenger/d*ck Sasuke to get things done for a long time. I wanted to see more of hebi Sasuke grow but instead he had to use Sasuke as a means to kill people off, give himself power or keep the story "alive" even though the uchiha was supposed to be a sub plot it managed to engulf the series. Even had Tobirama literally explain why Sasuke Madagascar and Obito were acting like he had screws loose.

I just wish he didn't use Sasuke like that.

I hate characters that are always missing information , misconstrued or suddenly crazy because it allows the writer to use them to stir the pot and add bs.

Well u do have a point. The plot for Gaiden was the result of Sasuke not being home and that was done in order to keep Sasuke in character.

So I take it that u have a problem regarding how Karin. :| Sorry, but I really believe Karin being that easy was simply part of her character. As for the part about apologizing to Kakashi Sasuke went on his journey possibly to make up for his wrongs. Now as far as how things happened with Sakura that was a result of Kishimoto not caring about Sakura and being lazy.

As for the last one Sasuke had to fall in order to put Naruto and Sasuke on opposite ends of the spectrum so that they would eventually clash. If Sasuke stayed like Hebi then he wouldn't be deserving of the focus that he received. If Sasuke v Naruto was going to close the series then they needed to symbolize the morals of the series.

Interview:

What he's really trying to say though:

"I can't make Sasuke go OOC because that would be shitty writing. So instead I wrote several reasons/circumstances for Sasuke to go OOC. It's much more believable that way."

:lol

Lol, it's still bad writing nonetheless. And it's easy to see the latest of these ass pulls.

"I can't make Sasuke just leave his family/friends for like 8 years because that would be shitty writing. So instead I wrote several reasons/circumstances for Sasuke to leave his family/friends for like 8 years. It's much more believable that way."

....Well then lol it's really weird how Kishi's mind works. What Kishi fails to realize is that sometimes character development is a good thing and that a character doing OOC thing is just proof of a character's development. Sigh.
