Say for instance that Sasuke is a character that likes tea, so if tea shows up in a scene, he’ll drink it, but if it was juice, I don’t think he would drink it because he doesn’t like it. But if I turn it into a setting where the story won’t advance if he doesn’t drink juice, I have to employ a different pattern from when tea shows up or it doesn’t work. But if it is decided that he will drink juice, his character image is messed up. That’s why I ended up giving so many different circumstances to Sasuke, who appears in so many scenes.

What he's really trying to say though:

"I can't make Sasuke go OOC because that would be shitty writing. So instead I wrote several reasons/circumstances for Sasuke to go OOC. It's much more believable that way."

I've always believed Sakura just to be someone he chose to bear his children, because she sorta put up with him so much, she was the most deserving. Never felt there was love there so this makes complete sense. If you look at their interaction you can see this. He cares more about his seed over anything.

That sounds like the plot for Gaiden tbh. :|
Sasuke is not the type to act like husband that is around all the time or a loving father so Kishimoto does a whole complicated plot just to get Sasuke to show that he cares which he Normally wouldn't say.

It's like saying that to a certain degree the plot has to move around Sasuke for a while in order to make certain actions that Kishimoto wants Sasuke to do seem believeable

How does that even make sense? So, it's ok for Sasuke to be a violent murderer, who attacks his teachers, friends, family and village, because it would be OOC, for him not to react in the way he did?

At least Anakin Skywalker was consistent with his turn to the Dark Side and only had regrets when his plans blew up in his face.
