But yeah... I mean, Kisame is a terrible matchup for Hidan. He gets foderrized, so it's basically just Kisame Vs Kakuzu, Zabuza isn't really needed.
Anyone would get his head cut off by a fuuton enhanced blade, even Oro, do you even know what durability is all about?
He tanked one the most powerful fuuton jutsu at point blank range then stood on his own two feet like it was nothing.
Doton would negate that effect and reduce the damage since its stronger than Suiton, it might get absorbed but Kakuzu will be unimpaired
Hidan can drown? Since when? He's immortal, remember? He can even live after getting decapitated, remember? Do you read the manga at all?
Yet Hidan pressured Kakashi with 4.5 in speed and the sharingan in kenjutsu, and one shoted Asuma with 4.5 in speed and Taijutsu, Zabuza still gets destroyed, you need to learn how to use the databook stats properly.

This is an imaginary match up, thus all jutsu at any point in this debate is relevant. Since this fight is never going to happen, it's up to the debaters to use the presented jutsu to try and make it happen. Kakuzu using earth grudge fear at the beginning of the battle is definitely relevant.
Beside, since when is this considered as the ultimate technique you can only use once per fight? It's totally logical for him to use it, what would be illogical was if he didn't, give me one reason why it would be illogical to use it, you don't have any.
You're biased, it's just too obvious. Kakuzu is a serious fighter and he is highly intelligent unlike Kisame and Zabuza who are both dumb nuts. They will both get murdered by the immortal duos.

No I know Kakuzu is strong, probably the strongest fighter of the 4 but Hidans a dumbass, and that's why he got killed by Shikamaru, he would be the first one to go, and I doubt Kakuzu could face 2 ninja swordsman.
Hidan is just as smart as Zabuza for your information, so I guess Zabuza is a dumbass too then? Or are you being biased again? and Kisame is hardly smarter than him, look up the databook.
Shikamaru is one of the most intelligent character in the series and he couldn't have beaten him without extreme prep time and intel, your argument is invalid.
Kisame and Zabuza are a team of dumb nuts I tell you. They won't be able to hold their own against 2 immortal guys, just no.

Yes, I remember reading that thread. If you read his opening paragraph, it says it all.
"Showing why either side could win, and will be concentrating more on the underdog to explain why this is a fair match up." He is simply stating how Kakuzu can defeat Kisame, that doesn't necessarily mean Kakuzu defeats Kisame 10/10 times.
@ Bold - He pretty much said that Kakuzu is inferior to Kisame by calling him the "underdog"
He uses underdog as a way to say Not Favored To win By the majority .... Underdogs win the battle/Game/ whatever you use the term plenty of times .hell the whole series naruto is an underdog.. In fact some could argue that underdogs win most of the time simply because they ARE the underdog
I said this in my first post kakuzu and kisame are about equal ... The slightest thing changes the outcome..However i usually give it to kakuzu due to he has the intelligence factor

That's all I have to say in that regard.
I pretty much said this also, there are a lot of different factors that can take place that decides the victor, but I give it to Kisame simply because Kakuzu doesn't have a real liable counter to a lot of his techniques as proven in our little debate.

I still believe the odds are more in Kisames favor but, yeah.
