kimi wins because his cqc skill is on par w/ hidans, but his kkg gives him a stark advantage.
his very 1st dance, the oft overlooked, turns his arm bones into full length katanas & while he never on-panel used them, kenjutsu is an extension of taijutsu, of which kimi is a master.
hidan loses his connector rope immediately (the only reason asuma didn't do the same was for plot)

Against a user who can release bones from anywhere, he has not shown the ability to to change its direction to a pinpoint accuracy space like between bones.
He made one move where he send the scythe out and we see it move slowly towards one place(Asuma's cheek). No evidence to show he would be able to move the scythe and maneuver it between Kimi's bones.
Kimimaro literally has no chance here.
His main source of offense Hidan inflicts on himself for shits and giggles.
And his defense is rendered useless, Kimimaro drips blood...everything is bypassed.

Hidan is a bad match up for Kimimaro, he wins this rather easily without an intel. Bones usually do not protect Kimimaros skin, and thats all that Hidan needs to get some blood and perform his ritual. Hidan himself was good CQC combat, even with Shikamarus support Asuma, an elite Jounin who was not pushover in Taijutsu at all, was in clear disadvantage.

I never said that Hidan is better than Kimimaro in Taijutsu, however his immortality and ritual gives him an advantage. Hidan is just skilled enough to get some of Kimimaros blood. I mean, this guy had advantage against Asuma, elite Jounin, who was strong enough to OWN whole Otogakure squad, a Jounin and several Chuunins just with his fists in less than minute. And Asuma had Shikamarus support, if it wasnt for that Hidans advantage would be even bigger.
