Days that felt like months, passed since Barney claimed his first victim. It was a new feeling for him. Something he didn't know, something he wasn't used to. Maybe. If he looked into his memoy he would see that he was a killer even before. Perhaps it was something ingrained in his genetic footprint. But it didn't matter. What mattered was how he was feeling now. He felt liberated. Taking a life. Watching into the robbers eyes as his soul left his body. It was a powerful feeling. Feeling of control. He wanted that. He wanted more of that.
All this time didn't go to waste. Barney kept training really hard and with every passing day, he could feel his power growing. He gained stamina and he felt as if the previous limitations on his chakra system were pushed further or perhaps even lifted. He felt like he could perform the strongest techniques, no matter how difficult they were. It was a matter of confidence, and Barney had an abundance of it. To prove his point, Barney even expanded the training grounds area by accidentally destroying 20 good trees with an incredibly powerful blast of water. This wasn't all, though. After seeing the fire and lightning techniques from the robber and the earth technique from the young shinobi, Barney felt like he could perform them himself. It was time, he had to move on. He felt more powerful than ever and he knew that, although all the training he did was not futile, it would never be enough to hone his abilities to their limits. To achieve that, he needed proper experience and danger.
One thought that kept lingering in his mind was Alucard. He was the cool guy that helped Barney unlock some of his abilities by scouring through his brain. Good lad, very cool. He even invited Barney into his organization. What was it again? Hellring? Yeah, that sound like him. Back then, Barney was too weak and wasn't sure what he wanted to do, but now he figured, he might as well seek out company and look for that draded danger and experience.
Shit? Did he say in which direction was his stronghold? He was some kind of king in the north, no?
Barney wasn't sure in which direction to move but something drew him northwards. Besides, maybe he could stop at his friend Ralph's house and say hello. Yep, seemed like a solid course of action. He packed his belongings into seals and set forth onto a journey. Without return. He told the manager of the place he was staying that it was his last rent and paid the man generously.
Let's go north then. Oh right. I might even drop by my lab. I almost forgot about that place. Why didn't I think of it before.
