There's a big difference between the expected and unexpected headbutt. If I expect the pain I could reduce the effect, this way I don't think I'll stun myself that much as you said. Don't need to completely lay off the taijutsu, just reduce a bit and concentrate on the swordplay a little more. So should I attack again or what will we do? :)
xd While that's true, a blow to the noggin is still a blow to the noggin.

And just come at me again, I suppose. ^_^

-.-

All right this will be my best move... (or not)

*As the both of us stand in the Chudan stance (I assume you make it too) from a few meters away of each other, I start to run toward you. When I'm close I raise up my blade above my head and start a 2-handed vertical slash, aimed at your head. Right after my blade left my head line, so the blade start to lean toward you, but before you could stop or hit it, I quickly pull it backwards and make a lunge instead and aim at your throat.*

btw you learn/learned kendo or something? you're really familiar in these stances. :D

Your move doesn't make much sense at all. =/ If you brought your sword down like I'm picturing (from your description, you preformed an overhead strike) there is no way to turn that into a lunge without a complicated feint that would involve you stepping back and allowing the blade to travel to your waist-level, and then stepping forward and thrusting it forward from their - none of which is present in your move.

xd And I do not know any type of Kenjutsu in real life. I'm simply someone who is absolutely in love with the art, and did as much research as he could.

*When your blade is coming down towards me, I quickly slash my own blade upwards, from right to left; though that's unimportant, as I keep my horizontal, blocking your blade, and keeping it locked with your own.*

Normally, here, I would suggest a taijutsu move. <_<" However, as we're trying to stay away from that (xd) try to react with as little Tai as possible.

After re-reading my post, you are right. it doesn't have enough explanation, but the move itself makes sense for me...

You must be registered for see images

but I'll continue from here.

*As you stopped my blade and hold it before you, I take a step toward you and push you backwards with my blade. As you step back I quickly make a small duck/crouch and step toward you. At the same time I start to duck I lower my sword to my right hip (the sword pointing back and down). Then at the same time of my step I make a quick diagonal slash from right to left, aiming at your left hip and finish at your right armpit.*

xd Seeing your diagram, that's the exact move I just described. ^_^ Just be sure to describe all of your move in detail - especially something like what you tried to do.

*When you push me backwards, seeing you swing your sword around to put it on your waist for the slash, a position I recognize very well, I - instead of trying to remain sturdy, use the backwards momentum you gave me and quickly leap backwards, so that as you slash, I am out of range of the attack.*

And that was fairly well done, as well. ^_^

*As you start to leap backwards and my slash can't reach you, I release my sword with my right and leave the sword only in my left. Then I use the same dash I used for my attack and jump after you. Because you jumped first you should land first too, so in case I won't jump that high as you did, instead I lower my jump and make it "longer". While both of us in the air I grab my sword with my right too and prepare for an attack. As soon as we are about to land on the ground I raise my sword above my left shoulder and start a diagonal slash from my left to my right, aiming at your right shoulder.*

*As I'm moving backwards and see you launching your self towards me, I simply wait, holding my sword in hand, as I see you raise your sword - when you bring it down to slash at my right shoulder, I simply step backwards and to my left, as I swing my blade upwards and to my right, holding it with my right hand on the hilt and the left against the back of the blade near the top; rather than blocking your slash, I'm pushing against you blade as it makes contact with mine, making it continue it's downward descent, but go harmlessly past me and to my side, by rolling your blade off my own. This should cause you to have your arm extended, and with your blade pointing off to your left.*

more or less what I predicted, but damn you trolled me again! >.<

*As your blade makes contact with mine and you start to push it away from you, I loosen my grasp on my sword and let it moving backwards. This means while you are pushing my blade away, the top of my sword makes a half round backward and end up on my shoulder, while the hilt of the sword is moving between your arms behind your blade. When my right hand is behind your blade I release the sword with my left and slam my right leg on the ground and start to turn my body to my left, meaning I'll get even closer to you by pushing your hands outside. Because of my dash from the jump this happens really quickly. Then I make an another half turn to my left and step behind your right leg, so now my left shoulder points toward you instead of my right. I still use the remaining dash from the jump. With this I prevent you from stepping back or toward your left. While I'm turning I pull my left arm close to my body and hold it there, while I push your blade away from me, but not to the side instead away from you. With this I also remove my blade from my shoulder and get some space. When I finish my step I raise my right hand in the line of my shoulder and hold the top of my sword around my neck level. Then I just stab toward your neck.*

A little wall of text, but I hope this is understandable (and good :|)...

o.o ...How exactly was a trolling? .-.

*As I see your sword deflected, as I had originally planned, I quickly push off the ground, launching myself backwards, at about the same time you begin your maneuver; however, as your sword had deflected, and now because of the distance between us, I'm outside of any sort of striking range from your blow; being done before your movement, I would already be moving before you had a chance to lock me in position (as this would be done the instant your blade rolls off of mine). *

While your move seemed good...I have to admit, I have trouble following what you meant. With my rolling your blade off to your left, that means that your sword is to my right, with my own between; and since I stepped to my left in my side-step earlier, I'm as far away from your sword as physically possible. When you let your sword roll as I had intended it to, it actually creates even more distance from me, making your move even harder to execute (the part where you mention the hilt of the sword doesn't make much sense; this is the first part where I had trouble visualizing your move). If your sword is moving away to your left shoulder, there's no way it could be between my blade and arms, since, from my perspective your blade is on the "outside."

Your rotation, by itself, is easy enough to understand - that part was good - but because of the problem with your sword, it made the move awkward, and I don't think even physically possible. o_O

this part is the trolling:
"rather than blocking your slash, I'm pushing against you blade as it makes contact with mine, making it continue it's downward descent, but go harmlessly past me and to my side, by rolling your blade off my own"

I don't know how to explain that. The trick is in the first part of your move. My blade is coming from above and my left. To counter this you stepped back and left (my right), but you left your right leg there, meaning if you roll my blade to your right I'll cut your leg. To prevent this you should "leave" your sword almost where you were originally. So when our blade got in contact it was a lengthened X. At this point you started to push my blade to my left, but I loosened up my hold on the sword. Don't forget I'm moving toward your original position, meaning the top of my blade started to move backward. It's still rolling on yours, but more slower. From this point positioning the hilt of my sword behing your blade is easy (propeller effect). The top of my blade is moving backward, while the hilt moving toward your original position. If I'm right and you stretched your arms the hilt will past your blade's line.

But now as I'm thinking on it, if I'm too fast and you didn't stretch your arms as much as I thought, I'll just run out of place for the turn and also my blade wouldn't make it's full move backward. Meh I'm confused... :S

o.o I had no intention of doing any trolling, just to let it be known. <_<" I was simply trying to make a move.

One thing to remember, though, is that you assumed I left my leg in place; this would be a half-step. When someone refers to stepping backwards, as I just did, it usually refers to a single step in the indicated direction with both feet, unless indicated otherwise, or during a pivoting sidestep (and again, sidesteps are generally notated). Points, though, to you, as I should have been clear in that aspect, but it's just not a problem I've ever run into.

I still don't quite understand your move (propeller effect?), mainly because I can't visualize it well in my mind.

However, by the actual content of the move itself, I am very pleased, so I present to you two choices: we can end the training now, and you can have graduated, or we can continue to spar, and help you hone your skills more. ^_^

To tell the truth I don't know. Right now I'm really busy with exams, but on the other side my moves were bad, so I think I need more practice.

Alright, then we shall continue; we're in no hurry, so we can either move slowly or wait until your exams are over; it is your choice.

Just resume the offensive when you have time. ^_^

Now my exams are over so we can continue. But I'm starting to run out of tactics >.<

*As you jump out of range and I can't reach you I turn against you while also lower my sword. I hold it in my left hand. Then I start to walk toward you. When I'm close to you I quickly crook my knees and lean forward. Then I jump toward you and start a horizontal slash from my left to the right, aimed at your thighs. (a little under your waist)*

*When you start to walk towards me a bit, I first begin by assuming the chudan Kendo stance...however, once you get into range, I begin moving backwards at a similar pace as you, keeping you two sword ranges away, so that if you where also in Chudan stance, the tip of our blades would be very close.

However, when you leap forward, aiming your low slash, the flexiblity of the chudan stance allows me to coutner - I whip my blade to my right, holding it so that the tip faces the ground, stopping your slash.

Then, with your blade stopped, I quickly step forward and slice upwards, "cutting" the underside of your left arm with my bokken.*

*As you stopped my blade I stamp on the ground with my right leg and send myself upwards, but still toward you. This happens when you step forward and start your slash. With this you can't cut my arm, but instead my left side. So before your attack could reach me I grab my sword with my right and release it with my left. Then as you cut my side I grab your right arm with my left and make a diagonal slash, aimed under your right shoulder toward your left hip. With this I cut at least your right arm.*

I have some doubts about this move. It needs something more, but I can't figure out what is that. =/
