Can Obito be hit with genjutsu? If things pass through him, then technically someone attempting to control the chakra in his head should pass right through him also

Yeah, just like you need to activate the sharingan to use a genjustu.
Intangible kamui is instant and JJ Madara/Kaguya couldn't get Kakashi or Tobi when he used the intangibility.

Kamui is not only instant, its automatic when its turned on. if anything, its faster than genjutsu

You don't need sharingan to cast a genjutsu, just look at Itachi's Ephemeral ring.

The fact is Genjutsu was a brain attack and not physical attack. Kamui would do nothing to prevent Obito from getting Genjutsued.

Visual Genjutsu works by eyes contact, unless Obito jump into his Kamui completely and cutting all the contact between eyes, he susceptible to Genjutsu.

He's still using chakra. It's not like he built a firewall by using Kamui to block Genjutsu. However, only Kishi would state something about this since there's no conclusion.

Interesting, I think apart from him activating his sharingan(his 3 tomoe and depending IF he's able to break a genjutsu like Sasuke did with his 3 tomoe) he's vulnerable to genjutsu. But then Kamui is his MS ability so genjutsu shouldn't hit him...still going with the first point.
