naruto with a 3.5 speed and 3 avg int can clone feint kakuzu then clearly 5 speed/int/gen itachi can do so as well.

OT: Finger Genjutsu is underrated, not overrated, because it is clearly implied by the VIZ that Itachi can initiate Genjutsu from any point of his body; being his foot, his ass or his pubic hairs. Naruto failed to break out but he had some impact on it, I'd say Kakuzu instantly leaves it given his experience/chakra control.

Fight is determine wither Kakuzu can counter Sharingan genjutsu or not.

I think he can based on what DB4 implies and what was implied in War Arc. Via Mask capable of fighting on their own/can act as a separate organism. Should be able to Kai Kakuzu out a second time (since its no intel and dying the first time is a lesson learn).

I think itachi needs MS to defeat kakazu. Genjutsu is the only factor but 3T genjutsu is nothing out of the ordinary and kakazu is a shinobi of 1st ninja war's era. Plus his hearts can act on their own. Kakazu was essentially dead when his 2nd heart got destroyed and other hearts came running towards him on their own. So even if he is caught, he will break out of it. Even naruto was making an effort good enough that itachi saw his development. Kakazu is far above naruto in that department. MS is needed here.

well if we are going to use plot shield for naruto as a feat against kakazu then sure but we all know kakazu wasn't that stupid as a character.

And even if clone feint does happen, how does that kill kakazu? Domu? Plus multiple lives. And 3T genjutsu shouldn't be used as an argument against opponents of this level.

Itachi's only immobilization genjutsu shouldn't allow Domu to be ineffective, not to mention Kakuzu still has threads that can possibly still move under the genjutsu since Oro was still able to almost form a handsign.

Kakuzu would still be able to use his threads and masks in a paralysis Genjutsu. Only Genjutsu affecting Kakuzu in this fight is one that alters reality similar to the one Sasuke used against Deidara and Danzo. For example, Itachi would:

1. Put Kakuzu into 3T Gejutsu (Kakuzu doesn't realise this).
2. Make Kakuzu think Itachi is much slower than he actually is with Shunshin;
3. Shunshin towards Kakuzu and be 10 meters in front of where Kakuzu believes he actually is (Genjutsu altering Itachi's perceived distance from Kakuzu).
4. Destroy Kakuza's heart before he thinks it's time to activate Domu.
