I don't care who is saying what, but there is a huge difference between 10 and 15 years. I can get the translation stating 10-11 years, but this seems like a poor translation on both fronts.
Did you not read what they said? It's not a poor translation at all.
10数年後 is literally "10 + several years + later" in Japanese. Hence, the translation is "A few years after a decade" or "About 10+ years later".
Kishi left it ambiguous himself on that interview.
OD said the usage of it generally implies 10-15 years later in her notes about her translation. On her official translation, she wrote "about 10 year later" and wrote in her notes about it what the meaning was, and how we should see it as meaning beyond just 10 years. Other translator agrees.
If you don't trust her or the other well-known translators, go find someone on NF and ask. They'll tell you the same thing.
As a non-Japanese speaker, you shouldn't really insult anyone who's translating news for us. We all don't have insight or the nuances of the language. Everyone on reddit knows that OD is rarely wrong. And if she has been, it gets fixed up within a few minutes and it's noted on her post. As OD has been gracious enough to also translate the DB and has been chatting with the other Naruto wiki translators (FF-Suzaku and Seelentau), she is quite legit.
But hey, if you don't believe her. Learn the language for yourself, or ask anyone else who's a reliable translator elsewhere. NB doesn't have a native translator like reddit or NF. And certainly no one close to the proficiency who's actively releasing Naruto news like Yagami1211 or OrganicDinosaur.
