Lol @ outlasting Kabuto.

As everyone else said Team 1 takes this mid diff.

Kabuto can easily set up Itachi inside a Senpou Earth Dome keeping him there (with Summoning protection). Asborb enough chakra to Muki Tensei the Dome and Itachi will be done for here. While Minato wouldn't even let Nagato think about helping, due to his speed. Minato then solo's Nagato, with Kabuto coming to back up.

Lol, not to mention white rage.
Still, how does Minato easily solo nagato? i don't see that happening

minato and kabuto win mid-high diff. minato teleports kabuto and the moment itachi or nagato come close to his seal minato teleports kabuto and this happens

other than that white rage rapes. people who think itachi/nagato can disrupt the activation time team two have two alternatives; kabuto uses sound 5 abilities to block los and this will give him prep time

or minato uses his hiraishin kunai to hit against the oppositions techniques and teleport them

chibaku tensei also isnt a problem. minato deploys a clone to a far distance with a hiraishin kunai. then, minato tosses a hiraishin kunato to chibaku tensei. the clone summons chibaku tensei from very far away

minato's contract seal > nagato's summons.
genjutsu is moot.

The main problem for team 1 is summons. itachi can control Manda II or minato's frogs with genjutsu, and add that to Nagato's own animal path and they have a problem

not a problem at all. btw i never mentioned summons for team 1 because i realize itachi just one shots with totsuka, they wouldnt be practical at all. manda II or the frogs gets weighed in by 4 symbols seal or kabuto kills them with muki tensei, or contract seal.

Kabuto takes care of Nagato by himself or Itachi.

Yes, A dead guy, with unlimited stamina, can't outlast kabuto.

Your intelligence never ceases to amaze me.

Stop smack talkin peeps, it gets you nowhere. Besides, i don't really think this battle is about outlasting the other team.

You asked whether itachi can beat kabuto even with izanami restricted. I gave you the simplest, shortest response which fully capitalized on itachi's advantages in the situation. Nothing suggests won't work; unless you're going to restrict outlasting, now? :|

>inb4 EJ comes back implying base kabuto can beat/survive against nagato and edo itachi.

Kabuto passively absorbs nature energy through Jugo's technique, so he will not slip out of Sage Mode. Kabuto has theoretically infinite nature energy, so he won't exhaust his chakra reserves. While it's true that Itachi is an Edo and therefore can fight for eternity, Kabuto would literally last days with his huge chakra reserves and constant self-healing. Minato has SM too, so he has access to tons of nature energy and can get healed by Kabuto if he's injured. Nagato is an Uzumaki with the rinnegan who has massive chakra reserves and an incredible life force. Frankly I just don't think outlasting is a factor in this particular match-up. But if that's your opinion I respect that.

Hydrification will be useless against Amaterasu, as the latter will just burn it away. If not that, then Nagato can secure Itachi a chance to use Totsuka.

Either way, seeing as Itachi is in his Edo state, he has a great advantage.

I'm going on the presupposition that Itachi/Nagato have intent to kill.

For me, Minato is going to be more of a problem than Kabuto because of Hiraishin. To successfully restrain Minato, it might take a Chibaku Tensei to suck him and all his kunai into a crater as things like Bansho Ten'in/Shinra Tensei will be useless. Minato's already proven that he doesn't need to make hand-seals to teleport to his kunai.

Ningendo could work but here's my question - is there any way Team 2 can catch and temporarily hold Minato long enough to take his soul?

This guy is honestly trying to argue that a living person can outlast a dead person with no reservations about chakra limits. Wow, you have to be a new type of fanboy.

I'm not even going to argue whether or not kabuto can run out of chakra or not at this point. I'll just ask you a simple question;
Let's assume for a minute that kabuto truly can never get exhausted. What happens after 50 years? 100? 200? 500? Itachi's already dead, so he can't die again; Therefore, he's continues fighting strong and hard. Kabuto's a living guy, he dies to old age. Ergo, My initial premise still eventually fruits and itachi, a dead guy, outlasts a living, breathing guy.

PS: Minato's sm, by his own admission, takes long to entire and lasts for a few seconds, so SM is not really a big factor for him.

Still trying to argue that an alive person can outlast a dead person. You're incredibly hopeless, I must admit.

You can sig it if you want.

Agoodboy: "Edo itachi can outlast kabuto"
EJBlack: "lol@ Itachi outlasting kabuto"
EJBlack: "Itachi won't last an hour" <--- Because apparently a dead guy will die a second time in an outlast match.

You need to stop fanboying, honestly.
Edo itachi camps V4 yata for the next 50 years. What now? Kabuto outlasts right?

So what is Kabuto's counter to a good old fashioned Amaterasu to the face. the reason Itachi didn't just lead with amaterasu was that he wanted kabuto ALIVE. That is what Kabuto fans don't seem to get. A weakened Itachi who was holding back beat him. How long would he last if Itachi had been trying to kill him, and been at full power?

Minato and Kabuto make quite a good team IMO, they complement each other's abilities well. Then again, the dojutsu duo is not to be taken lightly either. As for CT, Minato could use his barrier to teleport Chibaku Tensei planet to a safe distance, or Kabuto could make a safe little bunker up there with his Muki Tensei.

You completely missed my point. Kabuto would last days here, giving him hundreds of chances to seal Itachi. My argument was never that Kabuto would outlast him, what I'm saying is that if Itachi tries to drag out the battle, Kabuto will still be performing fine after quite a while and there will be plenty of opportunities to defeat Itachi. For example, multiple Hakugeki, Muki Tensei from below the ground (it would pierce Itachi since his Susano'o is legless), flute genjutsu, bones from beneath the ground, etc...Itachi will not outlast him because he will be sealed before Kabuto's stamina begins to run low, which will take quite a while. Keep in mind, Minato and Nagato are involved too so it probably won't be simple for either Kabuto or Itachi.

why tempt EJ like this? He already thinks kabuto can outlast an EDO tensei.

So, in all those days, Itachi, who canonically outwitted kabuto, won't find a way to continue outlasting him or kill him? When it's already manga canon itachi found a way to defeat him without killing him? They way you're thinking is as if kabuto's the only intelligent person here or they only one who'd be trying to formulate strategies to win.
The simple fact of camping V4 yata while continously releasing amaterasu, on kabuto, ensures kabuto does nothing but oral rebirth.

Kabuto counters Amaterasu with Oral Rebirth. Minato counters it by sensing (SM gives Minato sensing abilities, so he knows when Amaterasu is coming. From there, it's a simple matter to dodge it with FTG. I wouldn't of made this match-up if Itachi could just one-shot his enemies with Amaterasu Lol
