jiraiya vs itachi wholl win

[shelke]

Jiriya wins this? Please, someone show me how because I just slapped my face in denial. All of his strong Justus are linked with his sage mode that takes literally forever to initiate. Itachi has a plethora of devastating near-instant Jutsus under his belt to end this quickly. Amatersu, Tsukiyomi, finger Genjutsu, Yaska Magatama, Fire Jutsus? How is Jiriya wining again?

[silmarill]

No Itachi himself admitted it wouldt matter if he and Kisame went up against him and how many more help they got (Sasori , Deidara , Kakuzo , Hidan, Konan) it wouldnt matter Itachi said best they could do was a stalemate

Im only stating manga facts

[Bogard]

Base Jiraya > Base Itachi
MS Itachi > Base Jiraya
SM Jiraya > MS Itachi

You do realize that he was lying, right? So that Kisame would leave Naruto alone? If he was serious, do you honestly think Jiriya would have taken on both of them?

Itachi's own words

^ So you are completely ignoring the fact that Itachi was using a facade to help the organization but in reality his actual motive was to stall their plans? Lol Okay. Whatever you say man.

Jiraya needs like a chapter to enter sm...

It doesn't take that long. The time he used summoning jutsu and started to dodge some Pain summoning attacks, he was already in SM

Itachi ends fights at the beginning most times.... eg deidara , orochimaru.. he knows he has bad stanima and will not go for a drawn out fight ...

He has summoning jutsu, toad prison, clones, iwagama to occupy Itachi the time to enter SM exactly what Kabuto did

even if Jiraya enters sm, He will think himself capable of tanking itachi's genjutsu, thanks to ma and pa... only to be killed by tsukyomi, since they wont be able to break it.... cancellation effects won't work on ITACHI'S tsukyomi...

He already has knowledge on Tsukuyomi from seeing the direct effect it caused on Sasuke. It happened infront of him, so of course, he won't do something that stupid if he judges that he can't and there is even a possibility that tsukuyomi won't even work

Also..sensing abilities in sm? jiraya was imperfect and never showed that ability.. infact, one of the paths of pein snuck behind him , ma and pa and cut his hand off[/COLOR]

Pa and Ma are perfect sage, yet they were surprised as well. It was most likely a situational thing. Kishi needed that to happen to make Jiraya's death even more acceptable. SM Naruto also has sensing abilities, yet he wasn't able to notice when Juubi directly came to hurt them for example(at least not until the last second). Even if you don't accept the fact Jiraya has sensing abilities, Pa and Ma do since they are perfect Sage

Jiraiya takes this high diff

ok but all of jariahs frogs and frog prisons are countered with amateratsu plus is itachis sasanoo not pretty much perfect even zetsu said it was the perfect susanoo since it has the sealing sword and the mirror wich will block anything and seal anything plus all of itachis genjutsu plus itachi pretty much beat kabuto by his self and kabuto was a better sage then jairiah i like jairiah alot but no way he would beat itachi at full power

[JIRAIYA perv]

ok ..... there are two answers to this question (witch have been asked for a million times lol)

- this answer is from the manga (statements and the enemies both fought plus the status of both characters) so JIRAIYA wins.

- this answer is from the people who look to all of itachi's flashy jutsu thinking that its's too much for a lot of his opponents, so basically its something the fans came up with, ITACHI wins.

either way .... am at this stage of accepting both answers (almost) coz both were awesome characters.

[Masked man]

Itachi is beast, but Jiraiya is monster!

[409fusion]

Itachi

[409fusion]

First Tsukuyomi then amaterasu.

[Kirigaya Kazuto]

Itachi takes this sm or not. One tsukuyomi or amaterasu and Jiraiya is done

[Unorthodox]

itachi

[pateuvasiliu]

First Tsukuyomi then amaterasu.

Why would he use both.

If he hits Tsukuyomi he can just stab him.

it bewilders me how people still think Jiraya can defeat Itachi

naaaa what drives me even crazier is the people who don't actually read the manga or come up with their own understanding. (am not talking only about jiraiaya's case but its a good example of this, also hiruzen would be a good example) you see you have itachi's statement and yet people gave him another motive behind saying it, then there is nagato's statement (nagato is clearly superior to itachi) and yet people also gave him another motive behind saying what he said so there is only two explanations :

1. people can't really understand what kishi is writing (when its as simple as you read it) and come up with their own understanding of the manga coz of ..... god knows what (lack of imagination maybe .... or the "attack and counters" flawed logic).

2. (the flawed logic) the way they look at character's and their so called imaginary scenario's that they make in their heads (attacks and counter .... oh god), and the biggest problem is that even if the writer said otherwise, they will still insist that it doesn't make sense because it doesn't follow that flawed logic.

i love both characters, but whats the use of a debate about something the manga made clear .... with statements (itachi cannot be stronger, he is either equal or weaker than jiraiya).

[Owarij]

Right "equal or stronger"

When jiraya gains raikage speed and reflexes in his base state, and he becomes fast enough to dodge an Amaterasu, we'll talk about "equal " or " stronger"

When Jiraya gains uchiha blood and is then able to break tsukyomi , we'll talk about "equal" or "stronger"

hehe like i said, the people who would have difficulty understanding this are the ones who use "the attacks and counters FLAWED logic" and it wouldn't cross their minds that maybe there are more ways to counter something (ways not seen). thats why kishi is the one who decides witch character is superior (and he already did in this case) so asking for PROOF about something already proven is .... silly, why should i even try to prove this ....
