it bewilders me how people still think Jiraya can defeat Itachi
naaaa what drives me even crazier is the people who don't actually read the manga or come up with their own understanding. (am not talking only about jiraiaya's case but its a good example of this, also hiruzen would be a good example) you see you have itachi's statement and yet people gave him another motive behind saying it, then there is nagato's statement (nagato is clearly superior to itachi) and yet people also gave him another motive behind saying what he said so there is only two explanations :
1. people can't really understand what kishi is writing (when its as simple as you read it) and come up with their own understanding of the manga coz of ..... god knows what (lack of imagination maybe .... or the "attack and counters" flawed logic).
2. (the flawed logic) the way they look at character's and their so called imaginary scenario's that they make in their heads (attacks and counter .... oh god), and the biggest problem is that even if the writer said otherwise, they will still insist that it doesn't make sense because it doesn't follow that flawed logic.
i love both characters, but whats the use of a debate about something the manga made clear .... with statements (itachi cannot be stronger, he is either equal or weaker than jiraiya).
