So for example. If Chibaku Tensei were pierced, it'd be sealed?
And that's what this thread is really about, isn't it? Obviously, no one answer is correct, because we really do not know. We know that, accoridng to Zetsu's statement, anything it pierces will be sealed.
But we all know the knee-jerk response to that sort of thing, right? "So it can seal planet Earth by stabbing the ground?" If you look at that response, you can tell it's flawed, because the right answer is that it would seal the ground it pierced, not the Earth.
But the underlying point is somewhat valid: there are limitations to its sealing, but we don't know them, and that's where the argument ends.
In my opinion, Chibaku can be sealed if the core is pierced. If it's allowed to grow too large, and the core isn't able to be reached, then the momentum of the gravity suction will outpace the Totsuka's sealing speed. On the other hand, it may allow Itachi to at least escape.
