-Orochimaru's Eight Branches Tech is a transformation. He transforms into a hydra meaning its alive as he is the Hydra. So that isn't proof that Totsuka seals inanimate objects.

-Orochimaru's soul was split into the wielders of the Curse Mark, hence Sasuke reviving him by using the Evil Releasing Method on Anko's Curse Mark.

-PS can't be sealed as it is pure chakra coming from the user's body, and Totsuka doesn't have the feats that allow Totsuka to pierce right through it.
