Itachi was 17-18 in Part 1 and 21 in Part 2.
Uchiha Massacre happened 5 years before Naruto began.
17-5=12 18-5=13
So Itachi was 12-13 during the massacre.
And I'm not sure he joined Akatsuki immediately after the massacre. So I don't know about that. But it's prolly 13-15. Somewhere there is my guess.

and that simple math puts itachi at 11 when he did that to oro, before part 1 of naruto ended, sasori or kisame stated it's been 7 years since oro left, 17-18 minus 7 years= 10=11. and again in part 2, which was 3 years later, sasori or kisame said again it's been 10 years since oro left, again putting itachi at 11. since 21-10=11. it is simple, but some seem to be misunderstanding something.

I'm not really into it like most of the NB people but I think that Itachi was like 21 0r 22 when he dies. Kakashi is older then Itachi. He became jounin at 12+12 when the Kyubii attacks + 3 when shippuden begins. That makes him 27 right? Also about the comments of Akatsuki not recruiting small kids, Deidara was 12 or 13 when he was recruited. he was 19 when he dies. Back to topic. When he joines ANBU is pretty much when the Uchiha massacre takes place. If I recall correctly, he joined ANBU on his fathers orders and became a double spy and so on. What I have read though makes it unclear when he joins Akatsuki. I don't get the thread really. Its 21years of pure epicness with Itachi. He owned everybody he faced during that time. Enough said.
lol, you don't add it up like that, the fox attacked 12 years ago at the beginning of naruto, itachi is like 5 years older than sasuke, so 12+5= 17 at the beginning, and roughly 4 years have passed since the start of naruto which makes him 21 at death
edit: never mind, I see you're talking about kakashi, and yeah, that puts him at 27+ since we don't know how old he was when the war ended, but he's most likely in his thirties

It's not about that. There was some comment saying that Itachi was older then Kakashi. That was aimed to clear any future misconceptions of the age dif between those two. The info on Deidara was also for another comment saying that Akatsuki wouldn't be interested in young shinobi.
