Itachi weaker than thought?

What part of the chapter was protecting Sasuke? If Itatchi went full out the fight would be closer but it's not like Kabuto is there to just kill them either. He said before the fight he'll leave Sasuke as he wants him for an experiment and he's trying to reclaim Itachi, notice he's mainly using finishers on Itatchi but ignoring Sasuke.

You do realize you are saying exactly what I am saying? They both are playing a game of who captures who first. Kabuto cannot kill Itachi because Itachi is immortal in this fight. So what Kabuto has to do to stop Itachi is regain control over him. Which means hes trying to recapture Itachi and capture Sasuke. Itachi and Sasuke are doing the same thing here. The only difference here is that Kabuto cannot take as much damage as Itachi because we do not know Kabuto's limits. So if Itachi and Sasuke were to go full out we know amateratsu would be the choice of usage since they are in a closed space.

This. Itachi is strong, no doubt, definitely top 15 in the manga, if not top 10, but the hype he gets from some of his fans is just ridiculous. I've heard claims even more ridiculous, like Itachi being able to solo Edo Madara, Tobi and even the Narutoverse. As for Nagato, I believe Nagato would win 6-7 times out of 10. Maybe 8. Pain would win 8-9 times out of 10 imo (Pain is a pretty bad match-up for Itachi, he's one of those opponents Pain would have an easier time with than Nagato). And btw, Kabuto's technically "killed" Itachi twice in this fight, or would have had he not been Edo, once with Muki Tensei (though Itachi MIGHT have dodged that had he not been an Edo), the second time in the latest chapter (though that may have been part of Itachi's plan).


Anyways, I'm hoping that Itachi's Izanami fails to beat Kabuto (maybe because of Kabuto's "that jutsu"), then Kabuto beats Itachi, then Sasuke beats Kabuto (maybe having to awaken his Rinnegan to do so). Either way, it's definitely not gonna be Itachi who's gonna kill Kabuto, if he stops Edo Tensei, he'll disappear. So, either way, if Kabuto dies, Sasuke's gonna be the one to kill him, not Itachi.

See, the fun part about this whole Itachi hype is that he himself is really humble about his abilities.

Itachi is a beast and I love that character, but some people seem to think that because he has the Sharingan he can beat everyone without any effort.

if itachi can't pull this battle of even with sasuke on his side, it would mean that kishi is certainly trolling us with this war. I don't think he'll go ahead and dispose of itachi that easily. plus itachi said izanami was ready.

It's Kishi's fault people overate him i mean look at the fights he had. He beat Orochimaru when he was 11 and Orochimaru never went after him again. He also beat Deidara in seconds. He beat the Konoha jounin: Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma. He also fought Kakashi and grown up Naruto with 30% of his chakra and he looked like he had the advantage. What makes this even worse that these fights looked effortless.

Kabuto is definitely strong considering he has several powerful shinobis' abilities in him from his experiments. However, I think we should keep in mind that Itachi is NOT fighting to kill Kabuto, but to figure out how to break the Edo Tensei first. Kabuto is strong but if Itachi were to switch modes and go after him, it might play out differently and we would probably see Itachi at full speed, even more so then when he fought Sasuke. He's intentionally restraining himself...

Just my humble opinion.

Naruto and sasuke will be the next sage body | sage eye people and they will surpass all the one's before them (the 1st, madara) and will get to or surpass the sage's sons level. I don't know about surpass but be the closest to them yh
