Itachi vs Tsunade

what? you move from intelligence to strength to intelligence? none of that made sense..

1) Orochimaru tried to entice tsunade to heal his arms , with a promise to revive her loved ones with edo tensei

2) Tsunade thought it over and decided not to..

3) Orochimaru prepared for a worst case scenario if tsunade was to reject... his name was kabuto? remember? he was watching? he's a medical ninja?

4) tsunade's desalination attempt failed

5) Orochimaru can destroy ..I repeat, destroy, tsunade, any day in a healthy body.. hands or no hands

6) Orochimaru is undoubtedly smarter than tsunade... Tsunade excels in medical ninjutsu.. that's it.. she was a medical genius... Orochimaru was the genius of his time...

Firstly my point didn't go from intelligence to strength to intelligence. It goes as followed, if you know you are handicapped and in no real condition to fight and your apprentice is not sannin caliber then you shouldn't challenge a sannin knowing you do not have the power to win. It was strategically a fail.
Kabuto was not on Tsunade's level in terms of strength. He managed to capitalize on a phobia she know longer has. If he had not cut his wrist he would have died there, or if she had already overcome hemophobia she would have killed him there. She was obviously still holding back when she fought Kabuto as she hadn't bothered to use Creation Rebirth.
It's a question of whether Orochimaru would win with his hands. His body was healthy when he fought Tsunade, only his arms where ailed. But one of her punches took out his healthy body. .... You know what, I'll just make a thread on Oro vs Tsunade because Oro has nothing to do with this thread as we all know power is not linear in Naruto. Without MS Tsunade wins for reasons I've already stated and if Itachi is so hyped in your minds that Itachi can't lose a battle where he's obviously screwed then fine. But your prowess genjutsu stat says how well you cast genjutsu and of its potency not how well you break out of genjutsu.

One thing I always wonder, how would genjutsu effect someone with perfect chakra control.When I think back, I have never seen any of the top medical nin get caught in a genjutsu.By top medical nins, I mean, Tsunade, Lady Chiyo, or Sakura.It makes me think back to when Itachi was using that sand shinobis body in the "Save Gaara Arc".He was looking right at Sakura, Naruto, and Lady Chiyo but the only one who was caught in his genjutsu was naruto.Now we all know naruto has probably the worst chakra control in the series while Sakura and Lady Chiyo both being expect medical nins, have advance chakra control.I wonder, does having great chakra control gives you a strong defense against genjutsu.Just a thought...

well without MS technique he still has the sharingan and normal genjutsu not only that but he is faster and stamina and charka is not goin to be a problem since he will not be using the MS techniques. but itachi got this mid to high diffcult.:scorps:

Itachi's got this IMO.
The point of the sharingan is so that your able to fight an opponent with maximum efficiency without using up great amounts of chakra. Itachi without MS is more than enough to take on Tsunade, an the argument that she won't fall for genjustu because she's a kage is BS. Danzo was a kage an he fell for one of sasuke weak genjustu. Itachi would be able to predict tsunades movement's with sharingan. An even if Tsunade summons an uses kastuya to try to get out genjustu its not instant, sasuke caught killerbee in a MS genjustu he didn't instantly get up an even when itachi caught him in a regular genjustu he's freedom wasn't instant. Itachi also has katon tech. Like crimson nail flower (I think that's wat its called) that bee wasn't able to dodge in succession to a normal genjustu. He was also able to keep up with two perfect jinchuriki in taijustu. With all this if he's not able to take down Tsunade with out MS then I doubt he would be able to last as long as he has.

It's not that she's a kage, it's more that great chakra control is a known counter for genjutsu. A Kage level opponent that specializes in it should be a good counter for it over all. Plus like against Bee he didn't spam another base genjutsu after Bee broke out of the first one.

Valid point. That might be working against ordinary Genjutsu, but the Sharingan plays in a different league. The latest databook even states that - if one's not an Uchiha - a second person is required in order to cancel the Sharingan's hypnotic Genjutsu. In any event non-Sharingan-users require handseals in order to break illusions. Since Magen: Kasegui no Jutsu prevents the enemy from moving and thus forming seals, it spells out clear victory for Itachi. Orochimaru was lucky that Itachi only cut off one of his hands during the illusion.

her taijutsu skills can kill itachi in one hit, they are even better than raikage A !!!

now, her slug summonings also help her in healing.


itachi without ms, can do some water techs and fire techs not enough to kill someone.
and itachi needs to kills tsunade in one hit as if he missed, she would just heal herself and it would be like nothing happened to her.

now a normal genjutsu can be countered easily by a kage level ninja like tsunade.


distance is 25 metres so , its basically mid-range to close-range fight, tsunade gets another advantage.

i reckon tsunade could take this if itachi didnt have MS
