Itachi vs Sage Madara (just read)

I read this; it doesn't matter. Itachi would be ONE of the smartest people on the battlefield for sure (easily top 5), but something people fail to realize is that Madara, intellectually, is like Itachi v2 - he would most likely thwart any of Itachi's plans to stop him. People usually only judge Madara based on his power. A little known fact is that Madara is the smartest person on the battlefield, and is most likely smarter than even Shukaku.

As most people have said, his only hindrance is his immense ego and arrogance - which will most likely lead to his downfall.

Idk man I just think Itachi is more intelligent in almost every aspect. Madara hasn't shown much intelligence or quick thinking or wiseness. All he's shown is that he knows the the sage of six paths' history and how to acquire power. Itachi is more like a madara v2, if itachi didn't sacrifice himself he could've surpassed him.

First- itachi is deathly ill, he doesnot have twenty years to come up with a counter Justu. Furthermore, even if itachi alters the Madaras illusion- so what,

- madara would notice- and go over and slaughter itachi, then recast the illusion
- lastly, I don't understand your point- I get itachi is smart- but do you really think you could do anything against a genjustu that is powered by the juubi- and encompasses the world????

I really wanted to point out just two things. First if Mandy was some sort of epic genius, why couldn't he beat Hashi? He couldn't overpower him, and couldn't out smart him. He has to wait until he was dead to attempt victory. His plan was vague and he just manipulated someone to do his work for him... He got lucky, lets face it. Also his gran intelligence figured he didn't need sage tools and his enemy would *Never* use them against himself dot dot dot

Itachi would been a chess grandmaster in our world, at the age of 13. He foresaw a need to counter a forbidden jutsu that wasn't even perfected at the time. That's like coming up with a cure for a new deadly strain of the Ebola virus before its done being genetically altered.

To be fair there is nine different aspects of intelligence, and by no means can anyone claim that they win on all planes, but man give the guy credit where credit is due, way most of you talk its exasperating.

Madara is not the smartest shinobi on the battlefield. He himself stated that his plans were not going the way he expected and that he was lucky, right before he stole Hashirama's senjutsu. He put all of his faith in some random Uchiha that he gave a speech to about the world being sucky. Obito nearly threw away his plans and wanted to do infinite Tsukiyomi himself...had Kabuto not blackmailed him. Madara is just incredibly lucky. He did quite a bit of planning, but it wasn't like he came up w/ the plan himself. He's literally doing exactly what's on the Uchiha tablet. He's just following instructions. The only thing he's got going for him is battle experience and stolen power, which is allowing him to excel in the war. However, his arrogance will be his downfall sadly. Arrogance isn't exactly a trait I would consider for pure intelligence.

The assumption that someone is more intelligent just because he has an interest in sciencce is quite frankly ridiculous.




Orochimaru actually has the most stupidity feats in the entire manga in terms of battle. He is quite frankly stupid on the battlefield.




Firstly, training Hebi Sasuke and waiting until he was literally on his deathbed to take over his body. Now that was just silly, how the hell was he gonna defeat him in that state.




Against the third, he still managed to almost die, and lose his hands against an Old Third Hokage because of his silly little mind games and time wasting (toying around with the third). How can you do that and expect the guy (given who he was fighting) not to come up with a counter.




I won't even mention the stupidity of trying to take over Itachi's body on a whim instead of organising a proper ambush, perhaps with the aid of his sound 5 and maybe even Jugo and Kabuto.




Than, having gotten careless against the third (because of edo immortality) and ended up losing those edo's to a sealing jutsu, he goes and gets careless against Itachi because of supposed hydra mode immortality, and than loses to a fuin jutsu, AGAIN!


Any shinobi that loses to the same jutsu more than once clearly lacks something uptstairs.



You're not smarter than others just because you spent fifty years doing research. The only thing you might have is more knowledge than they do, but that doesn't mean you have a higher IQ.


Itachi, Kabuto, Minato, Hiruzen, Madara, Obito, Kakashi, Shikaku, and Shikamaru all clearly have higher IQ's than Orochimaru.

sasuke isnt really that genius and naruto is stupid. so what? they're still trying. gai would die after using 8th gate (although he didnt) but so what? he did try.
