Itachi vs Sage Madara (just read)

Yes, we all understand why he did what he did. He was given an ultimatum: if he sided with the Uchiha, civil war would occur; If he eliminated them, war would be prevented.

Dude he was like 13 at that time , even Hashi and Madara weren't that strong at that age. :|

If he had potential enough to rival Madara's power, he wouldn't have needed to sacrifice everything, kill his own clan, and ruin his brother's life. If he obtained rikudou mode or even the rinnegan, he could have easily stopped the Uchiha rebellion without the need to kill.


Madara was able to fight an army easily with only Katon, taijutsu, Susanoo. Itachi has all three....yet he can't defeat the Uchiha and one village.

Yeah. Madara was able to fight an army easily after stealing the power of the Senju (Hashirama's DNA) and having 100 years of prep time being hooked up to a tree. Then before Obito screwed him over, Kabuto revived Maddy. Madara is just lucky.

Itachi's clan was going to die no matter what. They were killed by two Uchiha in a few hours during the night. They stood no chance in what they were doing w/ their coup, Konoha shinobi would demolish them. Fugaku would have led the entire clan to their suicide. Sasuke's life would have sucked either way due to that. He sacrificed everything to stop a war during his lifetime and make the Uchiha look innocent. You now what? It worked.

And seriously? Itachi was 13. He probably didn't even now anything about the benefits of Senju DNA at that age and where would he even find it back then? Madara didn't obtain rinnegan until he was an old man on his deathbed.

If Itachi were truly evil, he very may well have surpassed EMS Madara or at least been near his level.

ot: If Itachi were alive right now, it wouldn't make much difference. He already fulfilled his part in the story and Madara is too powerful especially as a sage.

My conclusion is this: If Itachi was alive and on the current battlefield, he would be the second smartest person there, the smartest being Madara. And the other conclusion is that Itachi would be to smart to fight Madara, NOT A COWARD, just to smart to fight knowing he would lose. There is no honor in fighting someone that you know will defeat you, that's called stupidity.

Instead Itachi would have retreated and devised an intricate grand plan on how to use his own Tsukuyomi to somehow influence the IT that Madara casts. Even if it would have taken him 20 years to develop a counter jutsu, thats what he would have done. Going head on against Madara like all the fools are doing on the battlefield is just ridiculous. Any General or war strategist that has ever seen a real battle would tell you that retreat is one of the most powerfull decisions you can take.

It's a shame that Itachi is dead, beacause he is the only person who in the long run could have stopped Madara.

Instead we will get an overpowered Naruto in the next chapters going head on against Madara, thats boring, i wish the Manga was a bit smarter.


Oh well, really looking forward to Nardo getting yet another mega-upgrade, never seen that before...

The same way that Madara couldn't come up w/ a compromise for the Uchiha and Senju. Hashirama is the one who did. The same way Madara wasn't strong enough to protect Izuna when he was at least in his 20s. Yeah, Madara is so much better in this regard.

Madara rolfstomps Itachi , and even Itachi's most powerful Jutsu : Tsukuyomi won't work cause Itachi himself said it doesn't work on an Uchiha with an MS+ ( and he confirmed it in the Kabuto fight ) , let alone someone like Madara.

But it worked on Sasuke who has EMS during the Kabuto fight. :/ Back when they broke each other out of Tayuya's genjutsu. And Itachi never said anything like that.

But I do agree that Tsukiyomi will not have much effect on Madara, if any at all.

Madara beats everyone in battle experience and knows the most about the background of the So6p and the shinobi world.
