While Madara is trying to rule the world.. Itachi would be thinking of a master plan to stop him. Madara and Itachi don't belong on the same team even if they both are Uchiha clan. It was easy for Madara to get Obito's young mind to go along with his plan while Itachi would not fall for that shiit.

Second of all, your telling me Itachi is getting the opportunity to physically touch obito 3 times? Itachi can't even touch obito, yet make physical contact with him 3 times in order to activate izanami
