Why do all of Minato fans overrating his battle knowledge? How is suppose a man who never faced tsukoyomi to prevent something that caught in a genjutsu one of the most intelligent and wise shinobi in this manga- Kakashi, just to make the excuse for Minato, that he can't actually avoid Itachi's genjutsu. No one did it. Gai is an exception. And we already agreed that he's the only one capable to both fight and not seeing his eyes.
Unlike Minato, Itachi does know that people calling him the yellow flash so he'd e aware of his speed. And here is the difference between the knowledge of this fight.
You can't say that Minato is suppose to throw all of his kunai randomly and start flying around. Even if Itachi allowed him Minato can't mark him throw Itachi's defense. Furthermore Itachi would use his clones.
And here is the other thing, Minato doesn't have the eyes to see throw this genjutsu, he can't disturb his chakra, once he's caught in it the beggining of their fight actually start. And seeing Kakashi's chakra levels, seeing that Minato is also from a family not from strong clan he's chakra level's are the same if not worse than Kakashi, so even if he overcome tsukoyomi he'd more exhausted than Itachi. Which is another win for him, and Itachi is even sick, nuff said.
That's why this thread was suppose to be to it's another direction not here, because now it's death... people have to understand whos gotta better chance of wining and not what's some guys trying to say over and over again.
I'm not even a Minato fan and I told you that, personally. :| I even told you I like Itachi more than Minato. Actually, Itachi is among my fav. but not for these silly things such as powers and stuf. And I'm not overrating him. Sorry if Kishi made it this way, making many important figures in this manga talk about his prowess in being a shinobi, his prowess in battle tactics and intelligence. He made the Rasengan after observing a Bijuu... How many shinobis did that? Not even Hashirama who is said to be a legend. So sorry for that, it's not my fault, once again. :|
What I was doing here, is showing you that if you consider that something goes the way you want, it doesn't mean that things would work that way.
About that Kakashi/Gai situation i've explained you 3 times now, that situations differ! Chiyo had no info on his Tsukuyomi yet she did know how to deal a sharingan. Really now? Can you at least stop being stubborn and apply comprehensive skills to understand why the situation here is different? As I said, I explained 3 times what is different.
Ok, so if he knows about his speed, tell me, what can he do against it? Sometimes having knowledge doesn't help you if you cannot do something about that knowledge.
Actually, I can say that he throws all of his kunais randomly, or not. He's done it before in the manga.
And while Minato's way doesn't take any chakra, Itachi's Susano'o takes from the user's life force. In the end, he'll be forced to close down Susano'o. Unless he's willing to die...
You know that what you said has no relevance, right? How can you say he can't disturb his chakra? Every shinobi can do that. And if Naruto was able to do it a bit, imagine Minato. Naruto does Rasengan with one clone, while his father did rasengan with one hand. Talks a lot about the differences in chakra control about those two.
Being from a clan, has nothing to do with being good with what you do. By that logic, Sakura should've never been medic, because, she's not from a clan. Poor example, I know, but the premise is the same.
And sorry, but I end it here. You seriously underestimate Minato and overestimate Itachi. You don't even take into consideration what people tell you, you keep going with your same idea, though I used your own arguments and showed you how Minato's skills can be applied.
Nothing of such thing, with you and Itachi though.
And regarding your last sentence, what you must understand is that the arsenal he has, doesn't make it better.
A novice with a stone can win over an experienced with a kunai, or how was it?
It doesn't matter how many things you have in your arsenal. It matters how you use your arsenal given your opponent.
