Although we dont know the specific's of how it works for example itachi could cast it while in susanoo but we dont know that and i would say shisui is far inferior to itachi and i dont think an opponent could take itachis eye that quickly but plus rep

Hi im sorry to say but madara is not the strongest ninja and guess what neither is Hashirama. The amount of madara threads and hashirama threads being created and the amount of people saying madara is strongest or hashirama is strongest. No your wrong Itachi is the strongest. You people need to accept it.

Lets see what makes him number 1

He has shisuis ultimate genjutsu that can end the fight before it begins
Ultimate defence via susanoo and impenetrable shield
Ultimate sealing technique
Izanami
Izanagi (most likely)
Ameterasu
Tsukyomi which i dont think hashirama and madara could break
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND the billion other things we know about itachi such as his supreme intelligence and battle tactics.

Here are my arguements for your reasons on why Itachi is the 'strongest'.

I. He does not have Shisui's ultimate genjutsu anymore. That was a one way deal and once it got him out of Edo Tensei, Shisui's genjutsu is no longer around.

II. Madara also has a Susano'o that is vastly superior to Itachi's. Sure he has a great shield, but the sheer force of one swipe was able to change the terrain of the earth. Both Susano'o rival each other in power, Itachi's is not the best.

III. Yes it is the ultimate sealing tech. I agree with that.

IV. Izanami relinquishes the light in one Sharingan much like Izanagi does. So this is like Kotoamatsukami, a one time jutsu. There is no use in it.

V. Izanagi shares the same risks as Izanami, therefore making its usefulness a one time deal. Not very practical as a ninja.

VI. I agree, Amaterasu is very deadly. But it can be repelled with wind and or sand.

VII. Tsukuyomi could most likely be broken by Madara, since he is an excellent genjutsu user as well as an Uchiha. Hashirama im not too sure, but he did defeat Madara 1v1 so there has to have been some method used to avoid Sharingan genjutsu.

VIII. Shikamaru is also a great tactician as well and his intellegence is only rivaled by that of Kakashi or his father Shukaku.

My point is, every ninja can be beaten. Itachi is not a demi-god but he is definitely a top tier ninja in the series.

First let me thank you for actually thinking and not just writing a one word reply flaming or calling me a troll. Secondly im going to comment on your post.

I did not mean edo itachi i meant itachi before he was killed and was in possession of shisuis eye. Madaras susanoo does appear to be vastly superior but im going to have to say that due to itachi's sacred weapons his is the one that is actually superior. The shield able to deflect any attack and if they had a susanoo vs susanoo battle itachi would win due to totsuka blade and the reason is that susanoo are not very quick and the blade cannot be stopped.

I agree with what you said about izanami, izanagi and sealing technique. I do not think that ameterasu can be repelled via sand or wind due to the fact it generates exactly where the user is looking so it appears on the persons body and it is super quick meaning there are very few characters that can actually dodge it naruto, minato and raikage being the 3 that i can think of at this moment in time. Yes shikas are smart and kakashi is smart but they are not nearly as powerful as itachi and thats what makes him so much better than them. Also i agree that every ninja can be beaten and they all have their strengths and weaknesses, however while in possession of shisuis eye i think itachi is the strongest

id have to disagree..for sure he is a top ninja, but he also has his own sickness before edo. itachis fights are either settled fast or he evades cuz his use of eyes seriously damages his stamina w/ his sickness. If he did, in a fantasy realm of yours, fight madara, it sure wouldnt be a quick match. Itachi is very wise and his eyes are strong, but he has average chakra and stamina for an uchiha!

I was just about to say that, Shishu tried to use it against Danzo and failed what makes you think Itachi is going to succeed against the likes Madara or the 1st. Also take into consideration Itachi's chakra level please, 2nd in order to seal someone with the blade of Tosuka they would have to be moving considerably slow or just standing still like with what Orochimaru did. I like Itachi but he's in the Top 8. Itachi said it himself every jutsu have a weakness. Not to insult you but breaking any of Itachi's genjutsu would be a piece of cake for Madara and the 1st and you would have to be stupid to say otherwise. Madara mastered every possible angle of the sharingan and the 1st fought him without sucuming to any genjutsu effects. Anyway its your opinion.
