Itachi is stronger than Kabuto in a 1vs1

2. Itachi would have been caught in Tayuya's genjutsu if Sasuke wasn't there.
3. Itachi died at least once (multiple times but mostly was crow I guess)
4. That fight in the cave was full of ridiculousness, such as when how Itachi suddenly countered white rage (w/e name) technique out of nowhere.

His Susanoo cant hit him, And remember how Itachi was an Edo who died like 5 times? He also had unlimited chakra at the time and would have been caught if not for Sasuke.

In a nutshell:

Edo Itachi > Kabuto (Without any of his edos)
Kabuto (Without any edos) > Itachi
Kabuto with Edo > All the above

The only exception to this is the possibility of Kabuto being greater than Edo Itachi, based on the whole "not trying to defeat each other" argument. But frankly, lets face it both Kabuto and Itachi were going for non-lethal wins. Kabuto wanted to reclaim Itachi as his puppet and Itachi wanted to release the Edo completely. So this puts them pretty close to even in terms of the whole "holding back" thing.

But yeah, the bottom line is Itachi "won" as an Edo just so everyone is clear. It's a significant note if you want to compare characters, because Itachi isn't nearly as powerful as a non-edo.

Itachi got cut in half...twice. Kabuto had counters to everything that itachi threw at him. If it wasnt for sasuke, itachi would be still trapped in low level sound genjustu.

I beg to differ, Kabuto pretty much killed both bros multiple times during their scuffle, and as it has been said, Kabuto has intel while Itachi doesn't, Kabuto even found a wayn to hide from Itachi using excess chakra, if he did that and then used the flute then He'd automatically win, and even worse is the fact that Kabutomaru like Orochimaru is just too hard to kill.

Amaterasu isn't going to end the fight right away, and Kabuto can use his blinding dragon move to get rid of Susanoo, that combined with his sage move that gives inanimate objects life can kill almost any character in a 1 on 1. Honestly I think Kabuto is one of the few characters who can run laps around Itachi solo.

IMO Itachi is no match with Kabuto. Kabuto has edo tensei and sage mode. Kabuto is stronger, i mean why would kishi had that fight 2(Itachi, Sasuke) vs 1 (Kabuto).
