Don't know why people say Kabuto is stronger than Itachi. If the fight is a 1vs1(so no Edos), then i believe Itachi would still have win. People forget that:

- Itachi was holding back. Proof is that he didn't even used his full Susanoo with Yata and totsuka. What could Kabuto do in this case?

- Sure it was 2vs1 but sometimes when you're not alone winning a fight is even more difficult. In the fight, i've seen, Itachi was always there to try and protect Sasuke:

Sure Sasuke helped after that by protecting him with Amaterasu, but that would have not even happen if he Sasuke wasn't there since he would have protect himself instead of protecting Sasuke

The time or chakra he uses to protect Sasuke in a 2vs1 would be no waste in a 1vs1 where he could concentrate fully and deal with his opponent

Kabuto was fooled by the crow clone. So he would not have seen totsuka coming. If Itachi had used totsuka at that time instead of coming forward with a sword, what could Kabuto have done there?

So i think in a 1vs1, Itachi is stronger than Kabuto. Without even wanting to kill him, he deal with him with Izanami. So with complete Susanoo, yata mirror, and totsuka, combined with his intellect, he could have deal with Kabuto if he wanted

You over estimate Totsuka Blade a lot, Susano'o Arrow was not fast enough to catch Kabuto, why would you think Totsuka would? The only weapon I see Itachi has to attack Kabuto with is Izanami or a very wisely used Izanagi. Otherwise there is nothing Kabuto can't avoid in Dragon SM.

For 1. Kabuto can't avoid Itachi's simpler genjutsus in SM. This was cleared when Kabuto fell for the crow clone trick. So this can still happen. What makes SM Kabuto deadly is his pereceptional abilities in SM.

2. Tayuyas sound genjutsu if formiddable, but it can be broken by normal means. Just like when Shikamaru was able to.

3. White Snake dragon sound attack or w.e is Kabuto's best bet. Itachi was able to counter because Kabuto himself admitted Itachi was easily able to read him.

4. While Itachi definetly has a good chance, Sm Kabuto is favored because of his ability to deactivate Susanoo. Although if Itachi were to activate Amaterasu, Itachi has the power to seal Kabuto with Toska while Kabuto has to sloth it off.

I don't care about Ephemeral. There's a reason Itachi only used it one time. I was talking about Edo Tensei. By that logic I guess Tobi is a dumbass. And what will Itachi do? Totsuka all of them at the same time?
And don't give me that awful excuse. Once you get an Edo it is in your arsenal until incapacitated or freed. Kabuto is a ninja. Do you know what ninjas are? Prepared. Do you really think someone as intelligent as Kabuto would be unprepared with his best Jutsu?

Edo tensei counts. Would you not allow Sasori to fight with the Third Kazekage puppet because he has to kill the Kazekage first? Or would you not allow Naruto to summon his toads because he has to make his contract first? Once the preparation is done, he can use then whenever he wants.

And he only summoned Madara away from him because he meant for Madara to fight at that area. Remember, he summoned Madara's edo in front of Tobi before as well.

It's pointless when there's given no reason. I agree with you izanami is the only thing to defeat kabuto. itachi doesn't have much against kabuto in his arsenal to work around dragon sage mode but still no one ever puts the actual characters into play. the way characters think and react. The way characters utilize their arsenal no matter the difference in power. itachi has already proven he's developed more than kabuto as a ninja and pretty much gave him a life lesson that kabuto needed to figure out. kishi portrayed both characters in a different way but at the same time theyre very similar. kabuto may be more powerful but not in his character development

Bad example. The only reason he needed that was because he was controlling his edos at a great distance, which is hard. In a hypothetical battle, he would be right there, easily able to exert complete control over them. Anything else?

Actually Tayuya's sound genjutsu can't be broken easily by normal means. Shikamaru was the perfect opponent against Tayuya because of his Shadow imitation technique. This meant that he'd have the ability to move things even though Shikamaru was paralysed as seen

Now when this is applied to Itachi, it was obvious that Itachi had no control what so ever of anything whilst

. And this is further confirmed by Itachi, along with Sasuke, when their Susano was slowly being dismissed. And it was obvious how they managed to escape since they were already facing each other when they got caught in the sound.

Therefore unless Itachi can manage to inflict pain upon himself, which is highly unlikely due to not being able to control chakra at this point, then there is no chance Itachi alone is escaping Demonic Flute technique.
