Saved the village by taking his clan to the brink of extinction. Using mangekyo on his brother. He wanted to be the top uciha even after death that's why he programmed amaterasu
Ka is a normal genjutsu, as far as we know.. What made it famous is its ability to control you WITHOUT you knowing.... Once mifune was told he was under a genjutsu, he broke it easily, just as any other genjutsu... A genjutsu which you don't know you're in , is deadly... Itachi knew KA was casted on him.. anytime after that he could have easily ended the genjutsu ..

FOR anyone who is confused... The OP is talking about EDO ITACHI being put under KA genjutsu after the crow cast it on him.. saying all the good things EDO ITACHI did was because of SHISUI's KA.you must not have really watched or read part one..
Jiraiya clearly had no idea about AMATERATSUand Kisame was healthy with samehada and Kisame / Itachi could have easily killed Jiraiya back then..

KA is NOT a normal genjutsu.. Mifune DIDNT break KA.. Danzo released it and turned it off.
After Danzo turned it off.. Mifune listened to what AO said and asked Danzo is that what Danzo did to him.
Danzo turned it off when AO announced he wanted to see Danzo's EYE (sharingan) ..
Itachi was commanded to PROTECT KONOHA and one way SHISUI protected KONOHA was by giving his eye away to Itachi..
Edo Itachi PROTECTED KONOHA by destroying it after it was used on himself and because it was of no further use without Hashi's cells within a decade.

Lmao how could danzo turn it off when his chakra was inside of Mifune's brain and body? Did Sasuke "turn off" his genjutsu when he hit bee? The genjutsu has a lasting effect.. once you get KA cast on you, PERMANENTLY , until something changes, you act out the genjutsu... The caster could be on another Island, Another planet, Thousands of km's away from you and you'd STILL be under KA ...
The only way to beat genjutsu, is to overpower the chakra that is currently in your Brain.. THE ONLY thing stated that makes KA different from any other genjutus.. Is that the victim doesn't even know they have external chakra in their brain in the first place... Once they become aware.. there is no difference in breaking KA than any other genjutsu

Danzo wasnt using KA on Mifune anymore , while he was using KA on Mifune he was making Mifune say everything he wanted him to say to make Danzo the Leader of the Alliance.
He released his control over Mifune.
If Danzo was still controlling Mifune, AO's words would have no effect whatsoever.
Obviously Mifune didn't know if Danzo was using (KA) Genjutsu on him if he had to ask Danzo if he did that
After AO's explanation on KA.
After that AO said Danzo's chakra had returned to normal.

Jiraiya was not the one saying that he would die fighting Itachi. Itachi said that he would die facing Jiraiya

what did Jiraiya do when he saw Amateratsu?
he said "whats this" "oh mai gawd I cant believe that youngster that destroyed the Uchiha clan broke out of my indestructible toad stomach jutsu"
Obviously he thought Itachi and Kisame were trapped in his toad intestine jutsu....
hence no one has ever broken out of it before. according to Jiraiya...
then seconds later..... Itachi did after he cast Amateratsu..
Jiraiya screamed " NO NARUTO DONT TOUCH IT!!!!!!"
then Jiraiya got closer and examined it and said " these are some sort of black flames"
"is this what they used to escape?" then he sealed it in a scroll..
Jiraiya getting hit in the face with Amateratsu would be dead in that moment. Itachi saved his life. :itachi:

It is explicitly explained as to why Itachi was good and why he did everything he did. His intentions were for the benefit of the village and to save his younger brother. He also controlled Shisui's eye through his crows and it being used on him was apart of his plan to break edo tensei. Itachi's real intentions were to have Naruto use it on Sasuke if need be, but being brought back as an edo he had to improvise to use it on himself and stop the jutsu Kabuto had casted. He destroyed the crow that had his eye shortly after, so no he was not under a genjutsu.

Didn't Itachi(The Hidden Leafs spy and protector) tell Kisame that it would take the entire Akatsuki to defeat him(an obvious lie, Pain won without even using half power), and didn't even Kisame suspiciously question why would retreat be necessary for Itachi after they left? Itachi killing Jman would have put a serious dent into the leafs protection since Jman was arguably the strongest Leaf Ninja at the time. Itachi only made that excuse because he was a good guy does it make sense now that you've learned how to do the math?

There is no "using ka anymore" .... I don't understand why you don't get that..
Ka isn't like the majority other genjutsu.. Its a one cast , one use Genjutsu, in which the person gives you false experiences and manipulates you to doing what they want... ONCE its Casted, that's it, your chakra is in their brain and it doesn't matter if you DIE or go so far away from the victim that its unreasonable to even control someone from

The person will still be under the effects of KA... there is no "turning it off" , You can break in the same way you break any other genjutsu.. If , somehow you become aware that you're being controlled , you get rid of the external chakra in your brain.... As far as we know, Tsukyomi and Bringer of Darkness are the ONLY genjutsu that can't be be broken by normal means of Kai and inflicting pain upon yourself ... Nothing of the sort was ever stated about Kotoamatsuki

no, Sage Mode Jiraiya would've annihilated itachi. Why do you think Itachi asked for help from Sasuke to defeat Kabuto. Someone who just recently attained Dragon Sage Mode btw

No KA is permanent. Deal with it.
Also you say that Shisui had the power to control an opponents mind. Well a normal genjutsu can do that. KA is much more advanced genjutsu than any character has posessed in NV. Even stronger than Madaras

He didn't. He actually told Sasuke to get away from him. He actually protected both EMS Sasuke and DSM Kabuto.
