Itachi against:
Muu- stay in the air, dont look in the eyes and out last him. Itachi can't go blow for with muu. period! And the sharingan or any other sensor tech out side direct contact (sensor sand).
3rd Raikage- speed blitz everything he does, if susanoo comes then "hell bringer 1 finger" it from behind (which is every susanoo defence).
2nd Mizukage- the genjutsu he uses is a field lv jutsu, so I dont know if itachi can see thru it. lets assume he can. but what will he do against jokey boy? sharingan can't predict it's move, since it doesn't have muscles. (itachi may can beat him, but isnt better)
3rd hokage-

based on my research id say sarutobi. Hell he lived and fought side by side with them during wars. Uchihas are easy to fight, but itachi is different.
3rd kazekage- out last him. He's gaara but way better.

P.s. Don't bring up no noob response like "he is smart enuff to think of blah blah" or "he's a genius" or "ftg is to fast" or "tsukiyomi would get them" etc. because you might get put on blast! I'm fully prepared to go against both itachi and minato fanboys by myself! Any one who agree is welcome to join.

He couldn't beat Kakashi, Sasori does nothing but play offense, Kakashi waits and counters. Kakashi is a terrible match-up for Sasori.

Yes a 70 year old master puppeteer that thought Sasori all he knows, and you forget this one fact he let himself be killed.

Like i said before he won't be using his original body for Amaterasu to work against him and if he does he would just switch his core to another puppet like we seen him do unless you know the secret to that which no one does.

And do you really think Kakashi could take on 298 puppets at once and not get hit at all?

He just made up what would happen and if you said that wouldn't be fast enough, or counter it he'd just make something else up or say it would so be fast enough.

The purpose of this thread would have been to explain in detail YOUR opinon of If itachi was top 5 material or not.. And have an open debate so members can exchange views, possibly changing their opinons in the process

All fine and dandy except for some things.. Sasori keeps his chakra in the flesh he has... Chakra is made of physical and mental energy....In naruto i Believe thoughts etc apparently come from the mental energy in your body, i made a post about it in a sasori's heart thread, using a statement from the databook on Yamanaka clans mind body transfer...

Genjutsu affects YOUR BRAIN... the chakra in the cranial nerves... the brain being the center for touch, smell ,etc can be tweaked and played with to make a desired result

That is genjutsu

Its impossible to get sasori in a genjutsu, because he has no cranial nerves, Its as simple as that

Genjutsu affects your brain. He might not be able to feel pain, rendering Tsukiyomi useless, but he could still be caught in a genjutsu that would make his opponent seem invisible, or any other unlimited possibility.

Sasori has a brain. We know in order to use chakra, you need physical and mental energy. He obviously has the physical part in his heart, and the mental part in his brain. All that has to be done is get those organs infected with another organisms genjutsu chakra and he's in a genjutsu. There is NOTHING stating he is immune to genjutsu, seeing as he has intelligence.

It's not just in your brain. If you look at when Obito saw Rin under the influence of the Iwagakure-nin's genjutsu, you plainly can see what is an "irregular" chakra flow, but it's not just centered in the brain. It's her whole body.

Sasori never went up against any genjutsu users. Due to the fact that every ninja is not IMMUNE to genjutsu (they can cancel it, but still get caught in it), it is more logical to assume that Sasori CAN be caught by genjutsu, he just wouldn't feel pain from the average genjutsu.

You mean to tell me that the Pain bodies, which were NOTHING more than puppets, that didn't have a functional brain, nor did they cause Nagato any pain other than chakra consumption, can be the ones that are caught in genjutsu, yet SASORI, who has everything that keeps him alive IN HIS BODY cannot be affected by genjutsu? The Pain bodies are nothing more than dead bodies. They don't have an operating brain, yet SOMEHOW they still fell for that genjutsu, despite Nagato not physically being there.

Minato:

Muu- minato would never find him. He could use earth techs, or simply stay invisible and slice his neck!
3rd Raikage- nothing minato has will kill him! Minato would just flee (like a.....)
2nd Mizukage- jokey boy that is also a mirage, plus the mizu being a hozuki, minato cannot harm him
3rd Kazekage- control all metal! Sand every where, creating any weapon and defense at will! Hell he would kill minato with his own kunais (the magneto of naruto)

Alot of ppl sleep on these 5 because they are blind by there fan boyism, but in the top ten either of them should be in the ten above them. But I know many big heads will never change.Over all itachi has a better chance to win, but both are in the same boat. Both are great!

He's completely ignoring the opponent's feats and link many pages of his character's combat feats which will not likely happen in a fictional fight,given the character's intelligence and hype,and at the same time try to avoid from conceding that the opponents jutsu being much more versatile and lethal than the combatants.​

Does muu have info on itachi's genjutsu prowess? Are you saying every ninja who knows about sharingan and its ability to cast genjutsu through eye contact won't look at the eyes?

Because, asuma, kurenai, kakashi, orochimaru etc will disagree with you.... they all grew up with the uchiha clan still around.....
