I don't know if we do this already or not, but I'm so so on this one...overall, customs will always be controversial, like me and you said SY...Haters gonna hate. They just have to learn how to deal with the hand the world gives them.

Irl history stuff doesn't count here in the world wide web now does it? :p

Custom Weapons and Summons are Customs aren't they? (heck they have them in front of their name) And yet we give them to who we want as well, and everyone just goes with it, no problems whatsoever. And yet when someone goes away and gives someone else their customs, without teaching them, there will be someone who will complain. It just doesn't happen often. lol. Again, haters gonna hate. Just deal with it is all I'm saying, and let the sleeping dogs lie xd

Again, too much work xd. There will and always will be only one training grounds xd and its general enough to teach elements, jutsu and customs already xd

Well ya, custom weapons and summons would be included in the "need to teach" category as well. If you have a sword with some cool abilities and just gave it to someone, they wouldn't know how to use it. They would need to be taught how to use its abilities.

if you implement that it also affects the 7 swords from the swordsmen of the mist. When you kill one of them you get thier sword WITHOUT them teaching it how it works. Its the same exact thing.

Well thats why people make threads to test out their new toy (weapon, summon, custom, be what it may) and see how it works in battles/spars. And if they're wrong on how to use it, the opponent or the mod/sensei they get to review it will point it out and then that person will see how to use the custom more correctly than they did originally.

Oh yeah, there's this thing called reading the jutsu to see what it does and how to use it. Ever heard of it? xd The more experienced and responsible rpers do that, and don't just spam it just cause they got it for free. xd

An Over Powered jutsu in the hands of a noob is the same as a grenade with the pin still in it. if they are not smart enough to know how it works then it's no danger to you ^_^

lol thats not what I was saying. xd

Lets say you were in the Naruto world and just found someone's custom weapon lying on the ground. At first it looked like a normal sword. You picked it up, but you had no idea it could shoot fireballs. You would need the creator to come along and explain to you that it could shoot fireballs and then how to do it.

I think this is one of those things you just have to accept. I beleive the only restriction should be that those jutsu count towards your Custom limit and that they need to be posted in your list.

come up with some awesome jutsu of your own and dont teach them to anyone to make sure everything is all balanced out ^_^

Well obviously the person or someone who knows the person would stop you from doing that no? XD And then you two would brawl over it, and in the end, the person who knows the owner would get the owner and he would tell you that it's his, and you (if you know what's good for you) you'd give it to the owner or have your sorry tail beaten to a crisp. xd

And who leaves a custom weapon out in the open anyways? XD That's like someone like Izuna (7SM) leaving his water sword to the first one who grabs it. XD Izuna would probably beat that person's butt before they even got to touch it xd.

I'm with SY yet again on this. xd And as for the customs you're given should count against your custom I think we do that already, but if not, meh. Not everyone gives away their customs just cause xd

I see what you're saying with that.

Maybe a different section could be created for custom teaching? I hate to suggest that because I was trying to keep this as simple as possible.....but oh well.
Well even if it did. You know that this all here would stay the same right. Meaning hasashis customs would still have already been given. It would just be a future thing.

I'm really not gonna vote on this poll, because this has been one of those NB's great debates. That, and the options really don't suit how I feel about it either. It's been like this ever since the first good person left NB and had customs. It was their choice to give them away, with or without training, and everyone just went along with it. For me, the same applies here. Hasashi made the customs, he left, and gave them to the people he wished to give them to. People really should just respect the guy's wishes, as he just left like what, yesterday? .-. Plus, Hasashi is quite lazy as most, if not all of us, know, so if there was a requirement that before you leave you have to teach the person you want to give them to your customs, Hasashi wouldn't have given them to anyone, because that's just the person we know him to be. Let sleeping dogs lie imho.
If what you are saying about Hasashi being as lazy as you make him out to be is true, then by that statement alone, his customs should die with him, until his return that is. The only reason that people in the Narutoverse ever learned new abilities was through training, and understanding. If you take that away, you've set the ball in motion to undermine the entire point of Role Playing.

Agreed. now I think if you are still here it should be taught, BUT if you are leaving (like in hasashi's case and mine at one point) it should be considered like leaving a scroll behind for your students/friends to look through. This is just a case of the "have's" vs. the "have-not's".

Shorthand version: haters gonna hate.
So you're saying that everybody has a secrete scroll under the seventh mat on the right that explains all of your hidden custom jutsus. (uciha reference)

As Bahamut stated, those too have to be learned, to pass them along.

I feel that you are wrong with this one, because the battle is the "training." The 7 swords have been specified, with their abilities, and those in the Narutoverse were well known also.

To end on a lighter note.
An Over Powered jutsu in the hands of a noob is the same as a grenade with the pin still in it. if they are not smart enough to know how it works then it's no danger to you ^_^
I've just got to ask... have you ever been hit in the back of the head by a grenade? explode or not those bitches hurt... xd

When it comes down to it the point of the training would be so some sort of effort was put in to actually earn the techniques. For the swords, the effort would be put in by defeating the previous owner. Which we all know is no easy feat.
