Is Tobi Madara's enemy?

The new chapter revealed that Madara could easily have been resurrected using Edo Tensei, and could have freed himself from the summoning contract. This ruins the theory that Tobi has been trying to resurrect Madara.

All Tobi had to do was to learn the Edo Tensei (which he already could have gotten from Kabuto) and then summoned Madara. He must have plenty of Madara's DNA.

All this points to a new theory: that Tobi is not trying to realize Madara's plan. Tobi must have a plan of his own (or, he is trying to use Madara's idea for his own purpose).

If this is true, than Tobi and Madara are enemies. And this would mean they would most likely fight. This would be an interesting fight.

Also, this pretty much ruins another theory: that Tobi is Madara's brother. As a matter of fact, it was already pointed out on NB that Tobi is most likely not an Uchiha at all -- he had to read the stone of the Uchiha at the time of the Uchiha massacre. But, it is clear that Tobi hates Konoha, and the Uchiha. It is also clear that Tobi and Zettsu are friends. Does this mean that Zettsu is Madara's enemy, too?

Thanks. Nice theory, but I do not understand why do you think that Tobi does not have Tsukuyomi? He put the Mizukage under a powerful genjutsu -- do you think this was just a normal sharingan genjutsu?

Besides, if Tobi was planning to bring Madara back, why did he not use the Edo Tensei? We now know that this would have worked! That's why I think that the whole idea of Tobi working with Madara is wrong.

That's a good point. Tobi was using Madara's name. But that does not mean that he was collaborating with Madara.

Well, if Tobi had Kotoamatsukami, then he would not have tried to get Shisui's eyes after the fight with Danzo. He was very eager, and then disappointed when it turned out that Danzo destroyed the eye.

I do not think that Tobi used Kotoamatsukami. It could have been just an ordinary sharingan genjutsu, but I doubt if that would have been enough to controll the Mizukage for so long. So I think it was the Tsukuyomi.

That's a good point. Tobi was using Madara's name. But that does not mean that he was collaborating with Madara.

I guess so. Madara wanted to reinstate the Uchiha Clan back into power, while Tobi seemed like he's just an expendable puppet for the Moon's Eye Plan.

Don't forget the edo tensei is a IMPURE ressurection. I have a feeling that there will be a big drawback even if you have released yourself from the contract. Maybe that's why Madara said he wants to know where Kabuto is.
