Hip-Hop will never stop existing. Its just changing. Nowadays, its mostly about ***, drugs, money, alcohol, fame.

However, we have people like T.I. And J. Cole who bring in some much needed seriousness into it.

Then we have people like Slaughterhouse, Kanye West, B.o.B, Tech N9ne, Busta Rhymes, Twista, Wiz Khalife and MGK who bring that fun-filled thing into it.

Then, we have Eminem, who brings that dynamic, crazy, exciting part into it.

Then we have Jay-Z, it's difficult to put what he does in words, it's like Eminem now: He's came, he conquered and now he's just enjoying the fruits of his work.

Then, we have Lil B, Tyler the Creator, and YMCMB at the bottom.

IMO, as long as we have everything but that last sentence, Hip-Hop is alive and well.

Of course, there are many others, like Wale. And I'm sure there's more to come

In the end, it's all about your preferences.

Still, Tyler sucks donkey c*ck.

Slaughthouse, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, The Lox. Hip Hop has just evolved as a genre, IMO wiz Khalifa doesn't qualify as real hip hop but that's just me. The mainstream has Kanye as well there are wack rappers but it's always been this way even in the 80's you had your busy b, and you had cool moe dee.

i love the song, buried alife is a gud song. drake is a new rapper and hes song are dope as hell.. you just name some of the few rappers that suck not all of them do.Lil Wanye, Tyga, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Wacka Flocka Flame? they dope idk what chu talking about..you should be saying soulja boy for example, idk why he got sign..anyways its your opinion not every1 thinks like yuh..
What he's saying is that there is no real hip hop left. Sure the people you mentioned can make good songs to bump to, but that doesn't mean its real hip hop. Most of their shit is about blowing money, which not everyone can relate to. Btw theres nothing hip hip about Flocka.

Thank yall... I saw the first page on this thread and thought... WOW, horrible artists. You want raw emotion and feeling, try Joe Budden's Mood Muzik series. But there are incredible artists like Black Thought, Mos Def, Talib, etc... New artists try J Cole.

Honestly with the exception of some, all rappers are doing now is selling an image, and people are buying cause they want to live that life. I know a lot of local artists talking about money and cars... that they don't have. That aint hip hop to me. Im not knocking their hard work I'm just saying the content in the lyrics of todays music is garbage, again with exception of some artists

YMCMB has talented people like Tyga, Drake and Nicki Minaj, but there still weak.

Rick Ross, I can't even take him seriouslt as a rapper. His lyrics are good, but he doesn't have that image

Lil Wayne. Whew, boy, Lil Wayne. He's highly repitive and he thinks he has complex methaphors when in reality, he's spitting bullshit. He's Weezy F. Baby, where the "F" stands for f*cking in the form of a verb.

Are we talking about rap or hip-hop?

Hip-Hop for me will be Ice-T, Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, Arrested Development...

L.L.Cool.J

Jay z. ♥

Sorry but I am more old school than the sorry shit I hear now. Very few catch my attention nowadays. :/

These day it all about riding maybachs(or claiming to), saying "BOSS", and"YES", and lacking in any discernible way lyrical talent.
