Possibly he managed to defeat Killerbree, with help of Karin and the others, but Pein also had help, and pein struggled to beat naruto alone (still is) pein is defo no match for Kyubi, sasuke has gr8 chakra capacity but not as good as pein, so i recken not yet, but he defo has potenial

He managed to defeat Killerbee? I think Killerbee USED him to get out of Kumogakure. I don't think he's on Pains level yet, but I think he will be greater then Pain fairly soon.

first he beat deidara, then had an awesome fight with itachi, then another good fight with killer bee. he didnt have that much time to rest and train. thats why naruto is stronger than sasuke at the moment. yes sasuke is not stronger than pain, but he will soon.

pein will not be as merciful as his previous battles

I'm not a Sasuke hater. I actually think he makes quite an awesome character. But I think that Pain would beat him. For one, for Sasuke to put Pein under Genjutsu, you'd have to do it to all SIX bodies. Tsukiyomi uses a lot of chakra, so it wouldn't be super easy to just yank out six Tsukiyomis in a day. Amaterasu also uses a lot of chakra, plus you'd have to hit all 6 bodies. If Sasuke used Amaterasu and Pein used Shinra Tensei, Shinra Tensei would not only block Amaterasu for a short while but it would hit Sasuke which would knock his focal point off. Not to mention all the Mangekyo techniques Sasuke would have to dish out, which would actually make him BLINDER as the battle goes on. I believe Sasuke is about to receive some kind of massive power up though...he always does. THEN he will be stronger then Pain.

I do think though that even if Sasuke managed to use Amaterasu, all Pain would have to do is use Chibaku Tensei on the area Amaterasu is surrounded in. If he gets Sasuke with it, which I'm sure he would...Sasuke would pretty much be trapped in a small sun. Unless he extinguished it.

and as for the kyubi well the kyubii took over naruto didint have a choice and the only thing it did was breaking out of chibaku tensi wich naruto could have easly done in sage mode)

Your right, if Deidara uses a techinque which was intended to kill Sasuke even at the cost of his own life, and Sasuke survived, then I think it constitutes as a win on Sasukes part.

I think Sasuke is stronger then Pein, but being able to defeat him is different, Sasuke doesnt want to kill anyone except those so he can exact his revenge this is were Pein would beat him, Pein woulcd come at him with killing in mind
