He has to manually teleport things with his space time barrier via kunai. That's why you saw it thrown to the ground right after he jumped it. There were no ftg kunai's on the battle field prior to his arrival. So he had to sunshin there.

I still don't know why kishi keeps reducing minato's speed, I mean,in manga episode 657,I expected minato to kill the black zetsu before it could possess obito probably appearing behind him with a rasengan but all he did was stretch his hand

I made a thread a while back explaining this, when they refer to him being so fast, it is not his base speed they are neccesarily talking about. Rather his speed with shunshin.

This is exactly what I think every time I read one of these nonsensical posts. When kcm and bm naruto shushined everyone compared it to minato's shushin, but these guys want to believe teleportation can leave a trail. The same guys who state teleportation isn't speed believe a ray of yellow light magically travels from a to b when minato uses ftg.
These are the same guys who believe minato had a seal on baby naruto lmao
