I am not a huge one piece fan, I've seen a couple of episodes and have never read the manga, but after watching Luffy and the way he goes about things, I have to ask this question: Is he even a good guy?
His ultimate goal is to gain one-piece and become the pirate king, am I correct?
He cares about his comrades and like most shounen heros he will do whatever it takes to protect them. But unlike other shounen heros: Naruto or Goku, luffy's goals just seem selfish. He is not fighting for the greater good, for world piece, or to save massive amounts of people. Hell even yusuke had far better ideology than luffy.
Anybody say otherwise?
