It's a weapon that he uses...

well, it's not just any weapon, it's alive...
and no one gave it to him, he stole it, so it was never really his tool/power if you think Kurama it's not Naruto tool/power xD

Where did I state that Samehada was Kisame's own power? Where did I say that?

Fact of the matter is, Samehada was not always used by Kisame and Kurama was not born inside of Naruto, he was put there because of unfortunate circumstances. He's alive and has his own powers and abilites.

I simply made you a question, cause was curious about how you felt about it, given your opinion about Naruto/Kurama.

and you said it is a weapon that he uses... which it doesn't answers much really.
when people do Kisame debates they always consider it has his tool/power and no one makes fuss about it, even though it's not originally his tool.
Naruto not only did not have a choice, he was the only Uzumaki around to host it. and Uzumakis are the best choice when it comes to hosting the kyuubi.

I don't care how other people view Kisame. Samehada is a weapon he uses. He uses it's power and techniques to his advantage.
Kurama and Naruto, similar situation. I don't really care about the circumstances of how they came together. The simple fact is that Kurama was alive and breathing long before Naruto was ever born. He had his own life and was doing his own purpose. It doesn't read on his forehead, 'property of Naruto.'

He's not Naruto's power.

By definition power is ability to do something - so yes, it is his power. Not to mention that he actually trained for things like TBB or chakra arms. Even Kurama commented on his skill.

Hmmmm. It's not natural, but I'd say so. The definition of power is the ability to do something. Whether or not it came from a different source doesn't matter since power since it's still his power when it's transferred to him.

What I don't like is when people say that it makes it 2 VS 1 and it doesn't count as Naruto's accomplishment. After all, they have one body. It's like they're alternate personalities. That's like saying Vegito VS Super Buu is 2 VS 1. Also, Biju mode is probably stronger than Kurama by himself due to the revelation that jinchuriki allow a biju's power to become focused.

Also, it's annoying when people claim Naruto's a skilless noob because of it. All that matters is his usage of the power that counts.

it's your opinion and I respect it.

but just to make something clear. when a shinobi/someone has something in their possession and have full control over it and can make full use of it, it can be consodered their tool/power. even more when it is a living being that consets it.
by this logic guess one could say it was not his power until he managed to take control over it, cause he couldn't really make much use of it, but now they are working together and he can make full use of it.

but that's my opinion on the matter...

i think what you are trying to say is, did he earn it ??
i say yes, he went through a lot (being the nine tails jinchuuriki), fought to tame the kyuubi and won him over. so yes it is his power :) actually taming/gaining kurama's respect is quite an accomplishment (first to do it after the SO6P).

Interesting thought, but Kurama is now just chakra with no physical body. He can't do anything by his own power.

This will always be a matter discussed in Naruto. It's never going to have a true answer for everyone.

On one hand, Naruto tamed Kyuubi and took his power. So in that sense, it is.

On the other, Naruto will die. Kurama will not. So once Naruto dies, Kurama will come out of him. If he was revived by edo tensei, he wouldn't have it anymore. Kurama would be in someone else.

So, like I said, it will never have a answer everyone agrees with.

You are making my point.
That what he is now, not always. If he was extracted from Naruto during this war, I doubt he'll have the thought that he's just been separated from his owner.

Didn't Naruto and Son-Goku (forgot what tailed beast he was) have a conversation about the tailed beasts not just being viewed as sources of power?

Most of the time its the Uchihatards who cry about Kurama not being Naruto's power when in fact he is.

Yes and no. Depends on how you look at it really. When Kurama gives Naruto chakra, it comes into Naruto's possession, and in that case, it is his power since it has become his property. Kurama is the source and he gives it to Naruto. Kurama however, is a separate entity with its own mind, body, and consciousness. I guess you could say the chakra he gives to Naruto is Naruto's power since it changes owners, while Kurama is not his power, just the source of it.

He's got a freakish amount of chakra even without it. It was said in the manga that he was using 50% of his chakra to keep the 9 tails at bay. The thing about him controlling it now is that he's at full power for a time.

You have to consider it to be a part of his power, because he has a degree of control over it. However, at the same time, you could argue that when he chooses to rely on the 9 tails power that he's being weak by not trusting his own natural strength.
