Because it's not the same, and that's what some can't noticed. The murderer killed an innocent citizen, under normal circunstances, whereas what I'm talking about is killing a murderer. Ending a threat, and potentially saving a lot of lives.
Again, I'm not telling anyone to kill them first chance you have. But if that's the option in hand, then don't be afraid of doing it, that's my point.
Sometimes in life, you have to chose what you want to protect, and for that, sometimes, other things must be sacrificed. In these cases, if you want to protect your fellow citizens, then a murderer must be killed.
What do you want to protect?
Life in prison can do just that, so why do we need the death penalty?
