in order to know if kakashi is stronger than the other kage we must wait to see the abilities of the other kage. since now only raikage and gaara had show their ability. and i don't think that raikage had show all his power

I read it Wade, you made some good points, but people don't seem to read entire topics before posting so it seems to have been wasted.

Either way people have forgotten what a Kage truly is. A Kage is a Ninja that dedicates his/her life to their village in order to protect it. This is the clear reason as to why Tsunade is the current Hokage, not due her skill in combat, but simple because she can protect those that need it. The pain plot showed proof of this when she mass healed every ninja injured from combat. Gaara also showed his ability to protect his village during the (successful) attempt at stealing his 1 tailed demon.

Since Kakashi has spent so much time protecting his allies I don't exactly see an issue with his nomination here.

yes he is kage material but it wouldnt suit him at all, he cant read love storyes when he has to work hard XD, yes he would have excitement during the war but in peaceful times he would go mad

I agree with this post, although hokage does mean you have to be strong you also have to "be one with the village" and I think Kakashi would give his life to protect the village.

Yes, Kakashi is Kage material (as turned out in the manga, proposed by none less than Shikaku), but I disagree with the lazy comments. Yes, he is lazy, but he also knows the line of what he can and cannot do.

As for beating the other current Kages - his strength would only bring him so far, but his brains will definitely be the winner in this, especially against A (seeing as he uses lightning as well, it makes it a somewhat fair match). He'd be better than Tsunade, simply because she has more strength than him, yes, but she lacks the speed and tactics (besides, she can get hot headed). I'm not really sure about the rest, they might be tough for him...

Kakashi is good and could become hokage but from what we have seen so far he isnt as gifted as the other kages. He mastered the sharingan, but his body or personal gifts artnt that strong if he was born an uhchia or senju with his brain power then he would be the best

He fought two not 1 like Asuma and held his own vs both of them. While Gaara a kage fought one. Did we see him dying to Kakuzu nope. If I was not mistake I saw him standing at the end.

He is at that level just by being smart.

dude if it wasnt for shikamaru he would have had his heart torn out. watch the fight again, as soon as he squared up one on one against kakuzu he couldnt compete.

Haha kakashi is smart and in terms of commanding respect in the ninja world sure than his kage material,as for his actual jutsu abilities and actual strength he wouldn't last against tyhe current crop of kages except gaara,and always remember the title kage is reserved for the strongest! Ninja in a village not smartest or respected but purely strongest! Which is why naruto will be hokage one day while shikamaru follows his orders.
