And your point? We don't know anything about kakashi's tenure as anbu. Anything we know is from filler, however if we DO go by that one filler that was grounded in realism (the itachi and kakashi filler), then kakashi was a captain too. Even then, we DO know that yamato considers kakashi to be his superior even though yamato was also in the anbu.

He's not a Jonin, he's a Missing Nin; power wise, he's probably high jonin.

I think high jounin is a good fit. People act like he's god tier. he's not even in the top 20

I'm pretty sure that Kakashi became Jounin way before he became a member of the Anbu. Same with Itachi.

There is absolutely no implication in manga that Kakashi was captain of anbu, only anime 'filler' states it. On the other hand, Itachi was.

So it is a direct implication that Itachi more skillful overall. Yamato respected Kakashi, because Kakashi was senior to him, he must have done some awesome things when he was part of Anbu, but it never says he became captain.

Hiruzen, kaguya, hagoramo, indra, ashura, hamura, Killer bee, Izuna, Shishui, Sasori (not in raw power, just a very hard counter), Muu, 3rd raikage, And anyone who can fight without using their eyes (which are lots actually).

I'm saying that yamato acts like kakashi's subordinate. Like as in a literal subordinate. Kakashi was a commander in the 4th great shinobi war. Kakashi knew the details of naruto's birth. Although it was never IMPLICITELY stated in the manga that he was a captain of the anbu, there is ample circumstancial evidence. Even a courtroom can convict with circumstancial evidence.

And while its filler, that filler was meant to be based off of known things in the manga. Its kinda like bardock's story in dragonball. It wasn't initially in the manga, but is considered by most to be psuedo canon because it doesn't conflict with anything (like history of trunks). I'm deeming kakashi's rank within the anbu to be at least on par with itachi's.

Also, the anbu had SQUADS, distinct individual squads. Being A captain of one isn't like being the overall captain. That being said, the anbu that REALLY seemed to be the highest in rank were the hokage's body guards (the ones that ware the cloaks and observed hiruzen vs orochimaru and the ones that attempted to seal the 3 headed dog during the pain invasion. Kakashi new the intricate details of naruto's birth while he was an anbu. I would be surprised to find out that he wasn't part of minato's ELITE guard under him. Making him the highest of anbu ranks.

Again, its not stated his rank. It doesn't call him a captain, but it doesn't say that he WASN'T. So at that point, we look to evidence to form a hypothesis. And the EVIDENCE points to him being a higherup anbu

He's above Jiraiya's level but below Minato's. His Mangekyo is strong but it's useless if he can't use it for more than 3min. It's like telling me Gai is top 2 because he kicked Madara's ass in 8 gates.
