is it me or are the ANBU useless?

Anbu are frigging strong but we dont see crap from them. Itachi was from the anbu n Yamato.

Only cool thing i've seen an Anbu do , is when that 1 captain anbu took out the 2-3 sound\sand anbu in 1 attack during the chuunin invasion

1 - No screen time. We have only seen them fight like 2-3 times We can't judge their power from that. What if we inly saw the fight Naruto lost? Then he would look like he was weak to.
2 - Kishi forgets it's supposed to be top class ninjas and use them as filler ninjas
3 - when we have seen them fight we have seen the same 5 or so


If the series was about them we would see all the good things they do. All the B,A and S-classed Misions they succed and the actuel strength of all the anbu not just a limited amount of them.

they are only fodder as they all are wearing masks so that when they die (which they do a lot) they aren't humanized like killing thousands of bad guys in a game if you can't see what they look like you don't feel anything when they die

Remember Anko and Ibiki are also ANBU but do side jobs like chunnin exams and they are Special-Jounins

No, the ANBU are not useless. They are made up of exceptional shinobi. The only problem is that they get faced off by OP opponents.

Need I remind you that the ANBU has housed the likes of Kakashi, Yamato, and Itachi?
Obviously not all the members of of this level, but it goes to show that there are top-class shinobi in there.

anbus' are cute :y and useless. Itachi, kakashi, yamato, sai, torune, fu and danzo does not constitute the whole anbu. Stop saying the anbu is useful because of them that's a logical fallacy. U_U

i guess it's the new generation of anbu that are useless because ever since kakashi, itachi, yamato, sai, fuu, and torune left they have not been living up to their hype. but there could be lower level and higher level anbu and the lower level might be the ones that's been getting pwn'd the entire time.

think of it from a buisness stand point how do you make a charicter look super bad ass? Have them beat somebody or many people that are bad ass. I think the anbu are just there to make certain people look good for example Kabuto took out several anbu ok think of it mathmatically if Anbu=supergood than Kabuto=better than super good but you can't really have him beat the hell out of Kakashi or one of the other jonin because well at that time he'd have no chance in hell and would just make Kakashi look like a bitch. Guess what I'm saying is the anbu (some) are just no name guys that are there to make certain people look good. Thats my opinion.
