I agree with you on the cheating. And divorces are dreadful for men, although a prenup can help with that to some extent. In this day and age, divorces are becoming the norm.
Well...

If you're a guy just skip getting married and just give your house to some b*tch you don't like. Its practically the same thing since 60% of marriages end in divorce.
You should write a novel .-.There are ways of preventing this type of outcome.
Notably, don't get married to a girl. Get married to a woman. And by that - I don't mean whether or not she's been deflowered.
For example, girl:

Young Women (not quite there, yet, but preliminary indications are the positive trend will hold):

One group knows not just what they want in life - but recognizes and appreciates what they -need- in life.
One group simply seeks attention with little realization of self; the other group understand who they are, where they are going, and has an idea for how to move toward their ideal self and realizes that their priorities in life need to be considered in the people they choose to include in their life.
If you marry an individual classified as a 'woman' - you generally don't have to worry about losing half of what you own to be left with a grudge against her. She will realize that you're not walking a path in life she wishes to share with you long before it becomes time to exchange vows. Generally, men will see and understand if a woman is panning out to not want to walk with him.
The part where most guys go wrong is that they get a girl who goes for the romance and the dream... but who doesn't understand what reality is. This is compounded even more so when the guy is still a boy.
If you get a girl who doesn't understand what it means for you to take time out of your routine to cook dinner for her - then she can't possibly be expected to have the kind of appreciative reaction you were hoping to see. Likewise - she will get frustrated when her efforts to 'share in the dream' fall flat due to schedule interruptions, financial limitations, etc. She's thinking it will be fun to role-play a nurse, and you're reminded of the odd pain in your shoulder you want looked at while wondering if your insurance plan would cover it and trying to weight the cost of indulging your paranoia versus the risk of some freak shoulder-cancer from all the pitching you used to do as a kid when your parents warned you about throwing out your arm.
Which - there's a time for fun and games (it's an important part of any relationship - even the non-intimate variety) - but when one or both person(s) simply doesn't comprehend or address the realistic aspects of partnering with another creature capable of independent thought... it's a doomed voyage from the get-go.
In today's age - we've lost much of the practical aspect of marriage. It sucks living alone, and it makes a hell of a lot of sense for two people who like to sleep together to figure out how to help each other out during the time between when they wake up and when they go back to the same bed.
Traditions have their role - but at the same time, it doesn't really matter who does the laundry, so long as it gets done. It doesn't matter who cleans the house, washes the dishes, mows the lawn, fixes the broken appliance of the day, or earns what portion of the household income - so long as it is being accomplished in a manner that satisfies both people involved.
And I think that is what so many people have forgotten. Marriage isn't just: "I will only have sexual contact with this person." It is not just a union of finances (well - legally it is - but let's not discuss government's involvement in marriage). It is an agreement to share life with that person - not just temporarily, but indefinitely. It is an agreement to care so much about that person that you get unspeakably pissed that things aren't going the way you'd envisioned for them (which can be, in part, their fault) - but remain by their side. It is an agreement to allow another independent being become an integral part of your life and your plans for it.
An independent being who will never be able to prove innocence or satisfy every expectation flawlessly - an independent being who is exposed to you in ways more intimate than physical contact alone can ever achieve... and who can (and will) evaluate you.
Think about the amount of trust you have to place into your partner. She could kill you in your sleep (or he, I suppose). You could return from work to see that your stuff is gone - or worse, your kids. The only way to prove a kid is yours is to essentially accuse her of infidelity (so if she's just that damned good at being sneaky - you'd never know without being an intolerable prick... unless, you know, there were obvious indications that the kid could not have come from you).
And she would trust you in a very similar manner. There are all kinds of things a being that you can't control can decide to do at the drop of a hat with no warning and no rhyme or logic that you can understand.
When you think about it that way - it really sets the proper tone for 'marriage' (which can be defined as agreeing to share life with an individual - which can actually include, to some extent, room mates of non-sexual relation). You trust your life to nameless automobile manufacturers on a daily basis - but to whom do you entrust your dreams of a future?
That is why divorces get so ugly. You are literally going through a process that destroys something people cherish more dearly than their own life - their dream of the future. Even though one's future is not destroyed by divorce - what was envisioned and used to motivate the individual has been shown to not be possible and to require substantial revision.
It's amazing how fundamentally simple people are despite the complexity to their reactions. Though most people don't really pay attention to it. It's easier to write a failed relationship off as an encounter with a despicable person and go from there (though that doesn't mean there are not despicable people - there most certainly are - but they are less common than the heartbroken masses would lead us to believe).
But, at this point, I've been indulging in my habit of rambling for far too long, and I require sleep.
Love doesn't need a marital contract to prove its official. Thats what i think

Precisely, my friend. You can't claim to be naked while you wear clothes. :| Hypocracy at it's greatest. U_U
This is why you think before you involve yourself with a woman. :eww: Countries in the Western world suck up to women and treat them like goddesses. U_U A man must be careful in choosing a spouse. The world is huge, bro. hmm Out there somewhere there is bound to be a place full of faithful women who will marry you not because of your money, fame or superficial appearance but because they actually love you for who you are and are actually a good person from the heart. :yeah:
If you have to ask if its "worth it", it wasn't ever gonna be "worth it" for you anyway
2. Divorce: divorce is obviously bad for men more so than women because 9 times out of ten she leaves with half your stuff.
was that psychopath just turned into a gif lool
