Its kinda decent, tho the majority of the characters are really unlikeable imo with exceptions here and there like Jean and Sasha.
Is it better than Naruto?Thats up to you to decide that,i personally like Naruto more than AoT.

AOT is not your average Shonen manga like Naruto or Fairytail. Its more darker, the themes are less idealistic and much more apocalyptic and realistic so to speak.
I prefer AOT to Naruto but thats just my opinion.
Plus if you are one of those people that gets attached to fictional characters then AOT is not for you.

It's unfair to compare a 600+ chapter manga with a to-be-20-volumes-only-manga.

Both are great works.

As for the side-argument about OP, it is not better than AoT. But, it is most probably better than Naruto on average. The first 200 chapters, it's Naruto>OP but then OP picks up pace and the last 4 years it's OP>>Naruto.
Simply because Kishimoto failed big time with his "war".

It really does depend on your taste. AoT is much darker so I like Naruto better,I kind of am a little emotional when it comes to Naruto since I'm reading it since I was 14 years old. But AoT is a great manga and anime ,a first manga in a long time who has the same popularity like the big 3.

Imo, no it's not
Imo it's by far the most overrated manga atm, though it's a good one non the less and I would reccomend it to you

Though you must understand that a large part of its hype is due to deaths, blood, gore, suffering, ... Which is just another kind of fanservice, if you like that you might really like the manga, I personally don't like that particular part all that much, though even then it's a very appealing manga

I rally love it, but it is a bit underrated. The reason why it's so popular is because people like being on the edge hopeing their favorite character doesn't die fighting that random ass titan. It gives off a sense of suspense.

It depends. AOT is amazing at the moment. Naruto's been around for a long time though.

I think AOT's success is well earned. But also its been helped by the fact that Naruto has been in the dumps this past year and a half.

Reason being is that AOT did things Naruto couldn't do. The things people complain about in Naruto, AOT gets down almost flawlessly.

Fodder die in both series, yes. But the difference is huge. We get moments to connect us with all these characters in AOT. In Naruto they just die. The emotional impact is different.

I would say AOT has a broader horizon for their characters. Naruto's to the point where everything is predictable. And it's not the power levels. It's the fact that what they are up against is much more intimidating than the Narutoverse. They literally sacrifice themselves to the jaws of death.

And the fights. All of the fights in Naruto Shippuden have the same structure. The only battle a villain actually won was when Madara defeated the five Kage and when Obito beat Konan. But we all knew that they would win. Point is, the main characters are too invincible. Not in power, but in plot. The sense of danger is sorely lacking.

Rant over U_U

Ten years from now, I think Naruto will go down as more successful overall. But that'll be attributed to the fact that AOT will be much shorter.

It's too early to say for me, the series hasn't been going on as long as naruto has.

The amount of the content gap between the two is too drastic.

Right now I enjoy AoT more, but when Naruto had as much content as AoT does now. I liked Naruto a lot more than AoT.
