Is anyone annoyed with Hinata Hyuga's character?

There are 4 main characters in this story and Sakura is one of them.

And that Neji is still referring to her as person higher than him, all that Hiashi meant was that he wasn't bothering to train her anymore, not actually disowning her.

It's because Hinata has some self esteem and self confidence issues since she was disowned by her father for being weak.

She was never disowned. Hiashi simply stated that he did not find her fit at that moment to be clan heir, because she was weaker than her sister who is 5 years her junior. However, that in itself does not necessarily denote that she was out of the running to be clan heir, she just needed to get stronger.

Yes, they can at times but this is certainly not the case in Hiashi's circumstance, especially when he is the one to assign bodyguards. In fact, the only time we actually saw a clan disagree with the clan head was in the case of the Uchiha choosing Hashirama/Tobirama over Madara, who then proceeded to run off as a missing-nin in disgrace.

Do you think Hinata is main character material?

Yes and no.I believe the potential is there and think Hinata would be a great female lead if the story was written differently.However Kishi has no experience with writing females and so that potential was wasted.

That's what being a fan is about,they support their faves no matter what.Honestly if you're so annoyed by people hyping Hinata then just ignore it.That's what I do about characters I dislike.
