How much of that was gathered from Black Zetsu though? I don't recall that anywhere else, though I may be wrong. I honestly try to forget that the Kaguya arc ever happened. Zetsu isn't a reliable narrator.

Didn't the new episode also show how Indra invented shadow-clones as a child, even though it was Tobirama who invented them? This anime backstory is awful and doesn't count as canon, no matter how hard people like fire321 try to tell the opposite.

Hashirama has been using wood clones since he got wood style, Tobirama stating he invented shadiw clones because idk maybe because he isn't as old as Indra. Madara and Izuna were noted to be the first to awaken the MS and yet in canon Indra was the first although for people that believe the filler Hagoromo was the "first". There are character sketches for the episodes and characters already not sure how you can still call it filler after that. At any rate:

OP: Hagoromo explicitly states that he didn't even know back then....since he's alwats watching oveer the transmigrantss he saw what happened with black zetsu heck how are you aware in the manga that naruto and sasuke were kidnapped by your mom but you're just going to assume he saw that but didn't see black zetsu betraying Madara. A ten year old would be able to connect the dots of black zetsu's manipulations. Hagoromo is probably just overseeing what is occurring in the pther dimension as he isvalways watching over Indra and Asura no matter where they are. The fact that black zetsu is dressed like a KKK member is unnerving nevertheless that's how it explains hardly contradicts the manga. Kishimoto may have given us a backstory as well if he could, he's the flashback loving god but he was rushed so you know how that goes

I believe the distinction was didn't and not can't. What shinobi can do is based on potential. Kishi states what a character did do, and Tobirama did create the Shadow Clone jutsu. Studio Perriot created a contradiction with the most authentic source, namely that which was written by the artist.

You can assume that Indra might have had shadow clones and discuss about the actual chance, but you can't claim it to be a fact based on some anime-only material. Assuming that everything you want to be canon is canon only because of the absence of disproof is not how it works. Similar to saying "good exists because you can't disprove it". It's basically the same pattern that you use and that's just false.

Until you have proof in form of a manga-panel or Kishimoto himself confirming that Indra had shadow-clones, Indra simply doesn't have it.

Ninshuu was teaching people how to mould chakra within themselves with the hope that it would give people a better understanding of themselves, as well as others, and lead the world into an era of peace. Ninjutsu is weaponizing chakra to be used against others and it was developed over the years.

As far as I remember, Madara and Izuna were called the first "Uchiha", who awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan. Indra was not an Uchiha, so there is nothing wrong with that statement.
