What is Medical Ninjutsu? Requiring advanced chakra control Medical Ninjutsu is a field that deals with the alteration, healing, or deterioration of the human body through use of chakra. For this to be achievable an in-depth understanding of the human anatomy is required so that a Medical Shinboi may accurately cause the desired effects on the human body through use of precise chakra control. At a basic level Medical Ninjutsu allows for the diagnosis of disease and injuries, the detection of poison, and other ailments that may afflict the Shinobi body - whether it be their flesh or chakra. Following that is the ability to heal injuries and hasten the regeneration of cells through chakra stimulation, thus allowing for the near miraculous regrowth of tissue. Alongside the ability to heal comes the ability to alter, as advanced medical shinobi are capable of manipulating the human anatomy to perform surgeries, the implantation of foreign organs and even the implantation of inanimate objects such as weapons. As experts of chakra control Medical Shinobi are capable of accessing advanced Fuuinjutsu techniques. Finally, for the purpose of battle several techniques have been developed that make use of a Medical Shinobi's advanced chakra control and knowledge of the human anatomy to target, and reduce the effectiveness of or otherwise outright nullify certain systems and process of the human body. Along this line of techniques made to harm the human body is the field of Poison - a Medical Shinobi's advanced understanding of medicnal substances also culminates in an understanding of poisons; under normal circumstances a Medical Shinobi will find themselves extracting poisons from a patients body through a chakra method called Cleansing, however on the battlefield they may find themselves utilising their knowledge to accurately reproduce poisons that they can either exhale or secrete through chakra manipulation. Poisons are capable of causing disturbances within organism that can either impede or completely shutdown processes and systems of the human body - such as affliction to the respiratory system or nervous system, and as such can produce a variety of maladies upon sufficient exposure. Medical Shinobi tend to either specialise in Regeneration (Self-Healing), Advanced Fuuinjutsu, or Poison.
Why do you want to learn Medical Ninjutsu?
Because Medjutsu is the goal that I almost attained but didn't. I stuck through medschool for almost two years, during which time I was subjected to a rather chaotic system under Nexus and Vincent, and then a somewhat better system under just Vincent - trainings were irregular, lessons seemed to switch from one thing to another because of 'revamping' and very few people knew what was even going on. Despite this I made it all the way through this ever changing system only to be kicked on the very last task of the very last semester for reasons, unclear reasons, that I've previously discussed with you.
Honestly the entire situation has just been frustrating - when others went inactive, stopped replying to medschool or quit because they thought it was pointless I did not, I preserved through and continued to reply to the irregular and sporadic lessons. When others stopped putting any effort into their replies because things seemed hopeless I did not, I continued to reply properly and promptly - only delayed sometimes by RL issues. Finally, after two years of back and forth, of having my training reset, or thinking that Medschool may be dissolved and I might be kicked out permanently, or fearing that all the effort and time that I've put in may go to complete waste I ended up on the last task. Lo and behold, everything was about to pay off, I was about to become a Shinobi who could heal others, or more importantly heal myself - since I've always been more of an offensive RPer rather than someone who'd prefer to sit on the sidelines and support. Except that wasn't to be the case, for I was kicked. I was kicked and I didn't get back in even when the regime changed.
Was I pissed? Yes, I was.
Why am I even applying now? Probably because I just don't feel like I can walk away; because walking away makes all of the time and effort I put in well and truly useless. I've invested so much into Medschool in the past that now, despite all the frustrations, I feel the need to continue, to try and get back into medschool and to try and graduate, even if it may be hopeless, even though it is frustrating, yet it is the frustration that compels me.
But its not just the past that motivates me. The goal of being a Shinobi that can heal himself, that can manage poisons and submit advanced techniques to target an opponents anatomy still exists. I want to be a MedNinja for all of the opportunities, of cures and poisons, that it holds.
I want to be able to dictate both life and death on the battlefield, to kill with fire or poison or even poisonous fire (Uhuh, that sounds good), or to heal the deserving with medical arts. It's interesting, it really is - Medical School houses an entire aspect of the RP that's otherwise largely untouchable, and I would like access to this aspect, for what it currently is, and for the creative potential that it holds.
