What is your Opinion of Rap?

I don't think that a person can really throw ALL rap into the same category. For instance, I used to love listening to 2 Pac, Biggie Smalls, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris & Wu-Tang all the time in high school. All of the listed above have totally different rapping styles, abilities and beats. I do think that the rap in the last 8 years with Kanye, NAS, and all these cats, doesn't hold a candle to the 90's and early 2000 rappers with the exception of Jay-Z and Ludacris. This is just my opinion.

It depends on the rapper, what they are rapping about, and how they are doing it.

So generally, meh.

Some suck, some don't, same with most music.

Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I think it's horrible. I don't generally like the lyrics they have (which usually seem to sound angry; that's more stressful then relaxing o_o), nor do they actually have a nice 'tune'. Imo.
But then, I barely know that much rap, since I've stayed clear of it after hearing that style for the first time.

I went with Meh... .-. I don't really care for most rap but it's music to some people somehow so.... I can't really say it's the wrong kind of music as music is simply that music a way to express yourself....

I in particulary don't like the new stuff, but then again I don't like modern music in general. Whatever is over 20yrs old is still good rap in my opinion the rest is poorly made and the new artists have no passion for the music, none what so ever. What they classify "rap" nowadays is just computer generated noises and pointless lyrics, like most modern music.

Depends on who I'm listening to. Generally, I like it a lot, one of my top two choices after Rock. I don't hate any genre of music. And your third option can be pointed towards any genre of music nowadays really, even some rock acts. .-.
