Haters will still claim otherwise as long as it promotes character bashing.
He's one of the few true shinobi in this manga.

Truly cared for Konoha, no matter what any one on this forum has to say about it.

His methods may have been extreme. He did both good and bad. But in the end, he was the Leaf's Danzo Shimura.
In the end he did more harm than good. He created evil Nagato & Konan, evil Sasuke, was benefactor of Orochimaru sand allowed him to live, turned Kabuto evil by making him kill his mother figure, made the leaf look bad by trying to take control of the shinobi alliance.

That is an incorrect interpretation of the character. Danzo professed care and desire to protect the village, but Kishimoto showed in multiple chapters that Danzo was actually only interested in a village that he controlled. He repeatedly conspired with the enemy to undermine the power in place and to weaken the village. His end goal was not noble at all. A more accurate, unemotional analysis of the character shows Danzo to be the typical dictator type and kishimoto likely pulled on real-life dictators, to which the Danzo character is very similar.

I disagree. While what you say is credible, my point still stands that he truly did care for Konoha. He was selfish, but his last words are proof that his love for Konoha runs deeper than his greed. And I feel Kishi wants us to look past what he's done and see why he's done it, which is why a) his death was surprisingly noble and b) he made this
