I don't think they should close the registration cause when i wanted to join the base it was closed but now it's opened again and there are still people who want to join.(you shouldn't just close is just cause of some 13 or 13 year old kids)

He was just voicing his opinion. I think you need to calm down a bit. You sounded elitist there and I want to give you the benefit of the doubt before I pin you as one in my book.

There is already the premium section of the forum which is un-moderated with little to no rules at all and one is free to have adult discussions there.

The moderators can only 70 percent of the job in my opinion, it comes down to us members to help by making proper usage of the report button to report any rule breaking or rule infringements, at the very least your report would make the thread to be discovered quickly and taken care off.
A large part of this site are teenagers, as this show appeals to the teenage demographic. There are probably more teens here than adults, and we can't really continuously supply ourselves with premium. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, if this site has some leniency, it should be in a way that the most people benefit from it, not just for premium.

I think registrations should remain open as there are many people and even NB Fans out there who still want to join. Closing registrations is like giving them a straight out denial which might give a negative view of this site.

Since Registrations have opened recently, the activity of NB has skyrocketed. We should support the Moderators and give them enough time to stabilise the base.

That's my point though, I make use of the report button and threads won't get closed/deleted til an hour later when damage has already been done, damage that I tried to prevent before. It wasn't just one occasion, it's happened several times in my case at least. Mods seem quicker to act about some of my signatures I've had rather than these threads which is peculiar if you ask me.

Leniency? True, but only to a certain extent. Remember this is a child friendly forum and shouldn't contain discussions which are inappropriate and hold no value.

Regardless of when the threads are being tended to it is always better to report rather than stand idle and let the rules be broken, the chances of a moderator finding the thread with your reports are higher than they finding it without them, so in the grand scheme of things reporting is still vital.

I think the fact that this is a child friendly forum is horseshit because this is not a child friendly series. If you have a site that is made for a series that appeals to a demographic that can handle mature content, then it makes no sense whatsoever for the site to be for people younger than that. It's like making a site for Breaking Bad, South Park, or hip hop music, and then saying "But don't swear or say mature things guys."

With Restrictions come trolls. Freedom is a Joy kill for trolls lol
That seems to be the analogy here Lol

A guy made a thread about how we should turn to science instead of philosophy, closed after four posts on page two.

Someone made a thread about porn, over five pages.
And the latter didn't even get closed, we just stopped posting in it. I'm really curious as to where they draw the line with these things cause it seems pretty vague at times. As for the child-friendly thing, I'm sure you know I agree whole-heartedly on that note by now. The concept of the child/family-friendly forum thing is a flawed one IMO

Exactly. It's the dumbest policy on this site.

1: He does watch the kids show but he sometimes sits next to me to talk and see what im doing
2: as i said he sits next to AND im the one who controls the computer not him
3: see my answer above ^

think Before you post smart a.ss.
The problem isn't that the site contains material not suitable for a five year old, but that you are letting a five year old view a site with material not suitable for him. The site doesn't need to change, you need to not view the site while he's around you. The responsibility is on you, not on the site to change

Something I've wondered is how exactly does the report button work? I reported one of those threads yet it was still a good 15min gone by before it got deleted and it was one of the last to get deleted even I reported it right when it got posted. Another time I reported a potential flame war thread early and then it got 3 pages when the flame war was ignited before it got deleted.

Do they get reports like a notification like we do or what? Sometimes I really feel like reporting a thread doesn't do anything.
That's my point though, I make use of the report button and threads won't get closed/deleted til an hour later when damage has already been done, damage that I tried to prevent before. Reports are sent to a staff-only section and no notifications are issued. Honestly, it's ludicrous to see complaints about 15 minute waiting periods. Yes, it'd be nice if we could somehow always manage to be by a computer and if we could always not have to deal with RL, so that we could just sit back and refresh the reports section every minute. That being said, there are instances where we may be online, but already in the midst of dealing with one issue or another. The only surefire way to handle rule violations is to report them. Never think otherwise. If the issue is severe enough, the next step would be to VM/PM a staff member, as that would actually provide us with some sort of perceivable notification, regardless of what we may be doing. Waiting an hour is only an issue for severe violations, where porn is present. Would it be nice if we could deal with it faster? Sure, but the same issues can and will arise on a daily basis that impact our ability to respond to every report/thread made in 15 minutes. A staff member could have viewed the reports just a minute or two before new reports arrive or they may not have jurisdiction over the given section (no staff power). Now, there are things that can help alleviate the overall popularity of threads with blatantly inappropriate content, do not post in them! I don't want to see people quoting porn or posting anything in them. Nothing said or done in a thread of such nature will be changed by spamming it, rather, more people can get into trouble. Reports will be done as soon as possible and that's that.

There are probably more teens here than adults, and we can't really continuously supply ourselves with premium. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, if this site has some leniency, it should be in a way that the most people benefit from it, not just for premium.

I'm sorry, but what "needs"? You detest the family-friendly orientation this site has, but why? What "need" is there to have profanity? Contrary to what you may be thinking, being able to freely use such language doesn't instill any sense of "maturity" and will only cause more headaches when people start flaming each other without restraint. When you joined this site, there were rules already in place. When you started to post on this site, you were now bound to rules, especially when you've gotten so many infractions (containing links to the rules). Just having premium doesn't mean one is exempt from the rules, it just less probable the will be reported and of course, only administrators may directly deal with whatever issues abound in the premium section. The "leniency" the premium members are afforded is that the vast majority of the staff can't even intervene in the section directly. It should be noted that the second quote is almost contradictory to everything you've espoused in this thread. "The responsibility is on you, not on the site to change." So, why haven't you heeded the warnings/infractions you've received about such matters as censor bypassing? Even now, you have a signature containing uncensored profanity. Why haven't you changed? The site has always been family-orientated, it's just people feel like they can do as they please all the time, which is really just a selfish attitude that doesn't help in any matter.

Addressing the original poster, no, the registrations will not be closed over such infrequent issues. People that do post porn and the like will be dealt with severely, to the point that they could be permanently banned for even a single instance. Members need to do two things: (1) make a report/message as staff member; (2) refrain from posting in such threads.
