Opening registrations was a double-edged sword, IMO. It adds a sort of "freshness" to the Base, as it's always the same members posting the same kind of threads, etc. Plus there were people just lurking who wanted to make accounts and jump in on the discussion.

But then of course, there are the trolls who make accs and post disgusting things that one should never have to see (if you saw the 4+ threads about 15 mins ago, you know what I'm talking about) :(

You say that now cause you're on the other side >_> There's still probably more people that want to register but that troll was an older member anyway. He wasn't a March 2014'er.

V would not be closing registration no time soon. I assume Moderator Applications would be opening again. ^^

Also, if you feel their is a problem of a member not following the rules, contact a Moderator via Report Button. Help them to help you. You are making the forums a better place. They cannot do it themselves. ;)

Something I've wondered is how exactly does the report button work? I reported one of those threads yet it was still a good 15min gone by before it got deleted and it was one of the last to get deleted even I reported it right when it got posted. Another time I reported a potential flame war thread early and then it got 3 pages when the flame war was ignited before it got deleted.

Do they get reports like a notification like we do or what? Sometimes I really feel like reporting a thread doesn't do anything.

I had a look at Narutoforums the other day, members there are so mature, even the children - and Adult disussions are not prohibited at all, people use the word orgy as a thread title and even mods post in it. I'm not saying it should be like that, but I sincerely think this forum needs less ristrictions and more freedom.

What people need to understand is that human beings are a species that crave power and control. The mods and admins are shining examples of that, they just make decisions that affect our experience on the site and use their differently-colored names as the reason as to why they get to decide how we experience the site without any consultation from us. If you think mods give a shit about "Freedom" on this site, then you haven't been here long enough. Don't expect things to change anytime soon, people have been asking for more freedom on this site for years, and the mods just add new restrictions. I personally gave up on reasoning with the staff when I saw that they are telling us how to word training threads' titles in the RP. They're telling us how we HAVE to NAME OUR threads. Freedom to them is a joke.

There is already the premium section of the forum which is un-moderated with little to no rules at all and one is free to have adult discussions there.

The moderators can only 70 percent of the job in my opinion, it comes down to us members to help by making proper usage of the report button to report any rule breaking or rule infringements, at the very least your report would make the thread to be discovered quickly and taken care off.
