I don't where the **** you're living but in Québec (and in Canada in general) we are amongst the most taxed on the globe. Depending on your income it goes from 40-60%.

I would be very surprise to see a country that impose an 80% taxes :|
FYI if you hate math and don't want a lesson in lotto winnings tax information... please by all means, don't read this!
As a matter of fact, here in California you must make the option for payment you wish to except as either lump sum = 56.428% payout, with depending upon the amount will have another 30-40% TAX on top of that, or annual payments = 89.253% payed out over a 26 year period, + 20-30% TAX on that each payment. Though like I stated above you can request a charitable donation to a 501.c.3 pre taxes so the lump sum you receive is = 63.548% of up the 60% of the initial payout. Than you can recoup the 40% you originally gave away at the end of the tax year! giving you a total of 78.13% take home from the total winnings!
