If nukes didn't exist, other dangerous weapons would have still be around such as harmful chemical weapons, biological weapons and potentially anti-matter bombs(which are worse than nukes) that will cause people to think twice before starting a war

Well WW2 killed enough people. Some countries were completely devestated. If WW3 happened, who's to say it won't happen to us.

They could handle normal bombings but they have little (or no) defence against nuclear bombs. It's kind of like Nagato or Schneizel (Code Geass)'s ideology in which they create peace out of fear. Is it a good method of peace? Who knows.

OP the people that disagree with you are the people that have their asses stuck up their heads and only know current events as far a their history text books and mainstream media. you are right, there are tons of international bad blood that has been building up for a long time concerning NATO and The Russia, china, NK, Iran alliance.
