Wait why does naruto not having kurama magically make obito not attack the village with kurama. Minato still wouldve died trying to protect the leaf village, uses death reaper seal to seal away half kuramas power and dies from it, in kuramas weakened state kushina seals the fox back inside her killing both of them. Since naruto isnt suppose to have kurama he gets left in the cave where hes eventually found by ANBU (now im not saying this is how it would actually play out but this scenario is a possible one if naruto isnt suppose to attain kurama). Im not going to vote in the poll because i feel that both the fodder option and the not as strong option can both be true ( sidenote for those people who voted still as strong against obito and madara please leave this website you are obviously a naruto fanboy). Now before you criticze MY OPINION let me explain why i think the way i do.
If the story still follows the original plot ( as close as it would without ninetails incidents) then naruto is definately fodder and dies in fight agaisnt haku ( yes im going all the way back to kid naruto why, because he had kurama in him since episode 1 he didnt just magically aqcuire him in shippuden as some of these people seem to think, if youre going to take away kurama you need to start at the very beginning not at the part where narutos about to learn SM). Why? Becasue if you recall that fight the only reason naruto survived and won was because the ninetails chakra leaked out of him destroying hakus ice mirrors and allowing naruto to hit haku. Without kurama naruto dies with hakus ice needle barrage also if you recall naruto before he goes cloak mode he was about to die and was saved by sasuke jumping in front of him and taking the would be fatal blow. So even before relying on kurama he wouldve died. People aslo need to realize that a normal narutos TREMENDOUS plot advantage would be severely dimished since hes no jinchuuriki, making it high possible for him to die ( before i get bombarded by naruto fanboys who say "no he wouldnt die hes still the hokages son and a well known character", my rebuttal only needs three words: Asuma and Neji). Valley at the end fight is severely shortened due to the fact that naruto cant go cloaked mode. Since naruto isnt really the main character its possible that he dies at the valley of the end.Recap

-neji easily beats naruto
-doesnt beat gaara
-he still beats kiba
-isnt able to do impossible amounts of kage bunshin
- dies in pursuit of sasuke when encounter with kimimarro occurs
If we continue to follow original plot (once again as closely as we could without fox incidents) then i dont think shippuden wouldve been created or if it wouldve that naruto wouldnt have survived long enough to make it on the series. But if he did somehow survive heres how i think things would be.
-he still meets jiraiya ( he taught narutos dad, named naruto and is his godfather)
-Pein never destroys the village
-Naruto still learns SM (a more improved sage mode without kurama)
-if pein and naruto ever fought pein would annihilate him (no naruto plot advantage, pein doesnt have to hold back, jiraiya never meets pein so no one knows what all the bodies can do or how to beat them)
-never meets bee
-doesnt beat edo 3rd raikage
-dies in "fight" with obito or when the juuibi shoots the spikes at him and he isnt saved by neji due to the fact he isnt as an important piece in the war.
Now if by some alternate turn of events if minato and kushina somehow survive their encounter with kurama then yes i say naruto isnt as strong but is still a strong character. Heres why hes still strong and why id like thisnaruto more than the actual one
-Hell learn more ninjustu, instead of spamming his 2 annoying a*s jutsus
-Minato can teach him FTG
-narutos rasengan will be better since hes learning from its creator
-narutos fights dont become predictable or boring with him always getting his a*s kicked and then him relying on kurama
-jiraiya doesnt die
-since the 4th lives the uchiha massacre never happens
-no massacre means sasukes parents are alive and itachi doesnt turn "evil", allowing sasuke to learn from the elite of the uchiha clan
-sasuke and naruto beome tag team from hell
-the war is a lot more exciting
-to me the series becomes more interesting if naruto doesnt have kurama
so yes, if narutos parents somehow survived kurama attack, i believe that naruto is still a strong character and the series benefits more from this. Sidenote even if naruto didnt have kurama the series would still exist it just wouldnt be called naruto, it would have something to do with ninja or ninjutsu
