[Theory] I think I can’t enjoy Naruto anymore because of OP!

But my basic questions are about sth. different:
1. Is my sudden decline in interest in Naruto related to the existence of One Piece?
2. Are here people with similar experiences?

OT: I pretty much felt the same. when I caught up with Bleach and OP, I was like. "WTF is Naruto compared to these 2 ". at that time, I could'nt imagine any other mangas to be better than Naruto, however, I never stopped with it. in fact, I still enjoyed it, but Bleach and OP were destroying it week after week.

I'll go ahead and say OP isn't childish....if you get into Water 7/ Ennis Lobby/ Marineford you will see how epic it is.
OT: I know exactly what you are talking about! Some of the most serious or dramatic moments in One Piece are simply brilliant and amazing! There are deffinatly times when Naruto's writing pales in comparrison, but like is was said, there are moments in Naruto that are amazing as well as moments that are meh.....
I think with the fantastic writing One Piece has (with its ability to mix serious, humorous, happy, sad, and anything) it sometimes pushes down some of the moments of Naruto that would have origionally excited you more. For instance, for several of the past weeks I've literally just been waiting for OP when I usually want all three!
The Naruto double Flashbaception was at first cool, but its become just Uchiha-Senju, and even more so Madara-Hashirama....I excpected more clans.
But the current events of One Piece are amazing, and I think the fact that 9/10 One Piece moments are usually exciting, funny, or emotional is what makes it feel overall more appealing to you than Naruto which has its epic moments and its meh moments!

Actually I'm kinda in your situation, when i didn't read OP i couldn't wait for Naruto's chapter to come out, but ever since I caught up with OP, myinterest in Naruto decreased and now I can't wait for an OP chapter, but I still enjoy Naruto though, but not as much as I use to do. OP ftw!!

I watched the first couple arcs of One Piece a couple years ago and then took a break from it til about last summer and during that year I wan't watching it i got very into naruto but then last summer i started watching one piece and then i got even more into one piece than i was naruto but i still love naruto but i just don't watch it as much and maybe your problem is you lost interest in naruto because you're comparing it to the one piece story and you must think the one piece story is better so you just don't like naruto anymore

There are 585+ episodes of One Piece. You saw the first 3 episodes. Congrats, you have watched .5% of the total story. That's like reading the title of a book, reading the first line then saying, nope this book seems "like a real goof ass" book to me. The story is at it's half way point and is just getting better and better. Sure, the first few episodes aren't that good, but judging it with the little knowledge you have saying it isn't serious is ignorant.

My attempt at trying to turn this into a proper English sentence suggests you are saying OP sucks and Naruto is better. Go actually watch the show. Your opinion would be valid then.
Then with your little One Piece knowledge, you attempt to down play it by saying rating don't matter. Then you use an example that suggests popularity and not ratings. Good way to twist things around. Ratings combine popularity and quality and give it a rating using both. Popularity doesn't matter much, I'll agree with you there. How good something is does matter however. If 10,00 people give one anime a 9.5 out of 10 on average and 100,000 people give another anime an 8 out of 10, guess which one is better. The one with the higher rating. One Piece does have a higher rating on most manga websites, just an fyi. One Piece also has sold twice as much manga volumes then Naruto also. That almost suggests One Piece has better rating and is more popular huh. I wonder why so many people like it if it's just a "real goof ass" anime/manga.
Suggesting One Piece doesn't have serious moments also. OH NO, EVERYONE DIED!!!!! Oh wait, nvm, they all got revived. I don't have to feel sad for them now. I'm sure the Pain arc would remind you of that. Then the whole revive everyone that died part for the war and just sh!ting on meaningful sacrifices, except J-man. I'm so glad that death stayed meaningful. Almost all meaningful deaths in Naruto don't mean anything anymore because the over-abusive reviving everyone theme. It takes away the seriousness on the show. At least in One Piece this doesn't happen.

Naruto is more childish the One Piece. Of course you wouldn't know that since you never read it, or you would never make such a claim. I won't waste my time on a troll alt account either.

It’s again a silly situation, just wanted to ask if any Naruto-OnePiece cross reader feels/felt similar.
Since I’ve started watching OP each time I read a new Naruto chapter I just think :
“What tha f????”
I can’t really define it. It seems everything what is currently discussed at Naruto became childish, ridiculous and superficial. I just think> who cares? :dead:
Strange thing is: My level of interest on Bleach (which always had its ups and downs) remained unchanged, though.
Anybody feels similar or ever did so?
Will I ever get back to enjoy Naruto??? :nuts:

One Piece is one reason why I’m rarely on lately and don’t read or answer any messages since weeks.
I apologize for this situation but at the same time kindly ask for your sympathy on this issue.

Last time I remember you were on Thriller Bark. My guess now you have made it up to the Marineford or maybe even the time skip. One Piece is so amazing huh.
I had watched the crappy dub version of One Piece a LONG time ago. Then it stopped airing on TV and I never picked it up again. By that time I was really in to both Naruto and Bleach. The stories were amazing back then. I then picked up One Piece when I had time on my hands and fell in love with it. EVERYTHING about it is just so well done. It is the best story I have ever read/watched.
I think I know the problem you are facing. I'm in the same boat. I feel I'm just trying to finish Naruto for completeness. I invested so much time into the story, I just want to see the ending. The problem is, Naruto is a bit boring compared to earlier stuff like the first half of Naruto and the Pain arc. The story was going good and the action was good. When you compare current Naruto to what you are reading in One Piece, of course One Piece is better. The sad part is One Piece will just keep getting better and better while Naruto will fall in it's shadow. Hopefully Naruto will become amazing again and it will finish with a bang. I think then Naruto will become interesting to you again.

More character development, better characters as a result, more meaningful fights, better pacing of arcs and funnier.

I completely agree, and it sucks :/ I still love Naruto, but when I think about all the stupid stuff like "you let Rin die", I can't help it that I find it stupid sometimes. One Piece has completely devoured me, cause all I feel like talking about these days is One Piece

I dont know why you try to change peoples' opinions. If someone likes Naruto more than OnePiece then you shouldnt bash them for their opinion.
